I just watched the video of Kobe throwing the elbow at Artest. It is so blatant, and yet no foul, no suspension, which the rules call for. I HATE SPECIAL TREATMENT! I played the video over and over and in slow motion. It was a hard thrown elbow. Artest had every right to be pissed. He got cheated.

Oden probably got hit with a dozen elbows like that last season. And of course the foul usually went against Portland.

Would you have ever believed we are standing up for Ron Ron? I saw it too and it was total balogna. It was completely intentional, I was so hoping Ron would deck that smug piece of garbage. Any doubts I had about cheering on Houston in this round are COMPLETELY gone. I hate Kobe now more than ever.

Star treatment is a NBA issue across the board. It not a secret they all know about it and choose to leave it alone. I for one do not like it and think it is bad for the game but they think to opposite. So Kobe is not the only player on the recieving end of this shall we say gift. If you wanna generate media regular season by babying the best players in the game and helping them score a lot of points fine but we need to turn this option off during play offs. There is enough hype during the play offs regardless and truely good players will do fine anyway. I think this kind of bad inconsistent officiating can only be bad for the NBA. I really do not know why he was ejected he made attempt to harm anyone so tech and thats it. I do not understand it at all. I have never heard of anyone being ejected for trash talking to another player unless they had 1 tech already. Maybe it was when he made the I will kill you sign across his throat like a knife haha. I am rooting for Houston for many reasons know even if they did recieve favor of the refs during our series. I just hope we can rise above this crap next year and gain some more popularity and press and get it our way because its not going anywhere so lets get some for ourselves.

That wasn't a knife across the throat geture, he was demonstrating how Kobe elbowed him in the throat. It looked like the other, but it wasn't judging by the context, if that was his intention he wouldn't have jawed in Kobe's face, he would have knocked him out. I actually have a little more faith in Ron Artest now after the Portland series. I do think he has straightened out his act. As far as star treatment, how come there was NONE of it for Roy in the Playoffs. He got knocked down so many times on what should have been 3pt plays or freethrows that could have changed so many of those games. I think there is a lot more to the conspiracies than the media want to believe. I think the NBA has scared them a little bit. I am guessing since Stern is an attourney, he has threatened the media with legal action to any media that participates in the soiling of the NBA's image. Didn't you notice how quickly all media have changed their stories? Erie. So much for freedom of speech and freedom of press. The dude is a corporate mob boss. I wouldn't be surprised if he sits in his office with a pinky ring on his right hand and a cigar in his left. "So you want to win a championship this year huh? It's gonna cost ya. I tell ya what I'm gonna do. I will give you into the playoffs. If your ratings and sales don't make X amount of dollars by the time the playoffs start, then I am giving it to someone else. Capiche?" Thank you Godfather, your benevolence is incomparable. Thank you.

I think the issue with Roy star treatment is not enough attention would come if he gets shafted. I'll explain if Kobe or Lebron got a number of bad calls the media would have a field day on the issue. Now if nice quite small market Roy gets bad calls it goes unnoticed by major media as it did. This is the soul reason it all about keeping big market players teams and fans happy. I unserstand what angle they are trying to keep basketball popular but there are a lot of people I know who will not watch the NBA because "Its like wrestling they already know who's gonna win". I do not completely agree but to a certain end they are given the edge to the favored team. I am very old school when it comes to sports that any given day any team can rise up play like a NBA team and win but these things seem to happen less and less especially in the playoffs. It has become very predictable in fact my friend said watch to keep international fans happy and Laker Kobe fans happy Yao will get hurt(he called Knee). So now Lakers can win and Yao fans just say well Yao was hurt and do not get upset as much. I will resend all this if Rockets win but will not happen.
