We'll all have to wait until after the all-star break to see what the Trail Blazers look like with Brandon Roy and Marcus Camby back on the floor. According to Head Coach Nate McMillan neither Roy or Camby, both of whom underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in January, will play in tonight's final game before the All-Star weekend starting Friday in Los Angeles.

Trail Blazers general manager Rich Cho said on last night's edition of Trail Blazers Courtside that Camby was not expected to play against the Hornets, but that the decision on Roy would be made at Wednesday morning's shootaround.

The decision makes sense when considering how well the Trail Blazers have played recently (they are currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak, the longest current streak in the NBA) and the fact that not playing Wednesday gives both players another seven full days of rest before the next game, a Feb. 23 home contest against the Lakers.

I think that is the right choice anyhow. As excited as we all are to have Camby and Roy back in the lineup, the extra days of rest and healing can't be a bad thing! A return to the game vs the Lakers would be a great game to return on anyhow...

    peace out,

Good i think they could use the seven days extra rest!  i don't want them coming back and getting all broken again!

I agree it's a good idea to get them some rest, but I'd like to see them have some time in the line-up vs. having B-Roy thrust back into the rotation without quite having his feet set.

I'm sure Roy and Camby would both appreciate the extra days of rest. Portland is clicking and now since the team is back home, hopefully that can elevate its gameplay at the RG. Can the Trail Blazers hone in on the Hornets for their longest win streak of the season?

Bad call I think.  If either (or both) are at or more than 75-80%, I say you play them, monitor their minutes, and see how they respond health-wise.  They will have 7  days after this game to continue treatment and get a better idea of where they are at in terms of game-shape and ability.

Good they don't need to rush back. Want them as health as they can be.

As much as I would like to see them play before the break, I would rather have them be ready for the Lakers- just another boost to the electricity of the atmosphere the RG will have that night!

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
