What is the biggest key to victory?
    Aldridge besting Love (8)
     30%
    Controlling the Paint (Points/Rebounds) (13)
     48%
    Bench Play (3)
     11%
Holding Minnesota under 100 points (1)
     4%
Defending the 3 point line (Wolves 3rd in NBA from downtown) (2)
     7%

After grinding out a no-so-pretty victory over the Nets, the Trail Blazers will once again play the role of favorite when the Timberwolves head into town. The odds are heavily stacked in Rip City's favor, winners of 14 straight over the Wolves, owners of a Top 10 home court record (13-5), and Minnesota is 2-19 on the road. While these all seem like insurmountable obstacles for the Wolves to overcome, don't forget the Blazers didn't close them out the last time the two teams met in Portland until the 4th quarter.

Make no doubts about it, all eyes will be upon LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love. Back on December 17 in Portland, Love had himself a nice outing, putting up 19 points and hauling in 17 rebounds. But it was the L-Train who stole the show, tying a career-high in points (36), at the time blocks (5), and grabbed 10 rebounds. For Portland to continue their streak over Minny, LA needs to outplay Love and get some help from the newly energized Nicolas Batum and dependable Wesley Matthews.

Agreed. After beating a team 14 straight times, sooner or later, they'll start to fight back. I just hope we don't think we can show up to the arena and the Wolves will fall over..

LA and Marcus will cancel out Love and Beasley.  The Blazers need to defend the perimeter,  guard defense (other than Wes$) is the weakest link again this season, against any team imo.

    Go Blazers !!!

I agree they need to play this game like it is the lakers, heat or nuggets not a team they have beat several times or they will have a repeat of the last suns game. There is no question they can beat the wolves- I just hope they don't let down and beat themselves like they have too many times this season. But saying all that I still believe they will win especially with the home crowd cheering them on.

We just need to play Blazer basketball.  Love will get his pts and boards, can't let the perimeter players beat us.  LA down low, if they don't double team, take it to the hoop, or pass out to Wild Wild Wes and bury the 3.

Dont allow Love to get a double dub. he leads nba with consecutive double dubs, put a stop to him.
I think He and Dwight are the leaders in rebounding, stop that.

All very good takes.  I personally, would like to see LA show the rest of the league why HE is more deserving of an All-Star nod than Love in this head-to-head.  Perimeter D huge tonight...close out fellas

37 and 12 gets it done over K. Love!  Nice work LA!  I've gotta say...I REALLY like what I'm seeing out of Rudy now.  He is playing much better defensively, and is looking to take his man off the dribble and create with the bounce...something I haven't seen much since the Ariza foul.   I had alot of appreciation tonight too for the way the team rallied around Rudy after the foul by Ridnour.  Multiple times I witnessed signs of extreme comaraderie.  Nice to see.  Great win.

Aldridge just demolished them, showing why he definitely should be an all star!
Better performance from the bench, they all contributed for a change , not just Mills. Joel did pretty well tonight. Rudy had a strange one, still couldn't hit anything but he was all over the place defensively with 5 steals and even though he was injured he kept going which was good. The comaraderie of this team has been strong for quite some time now! Would've liked to see us just destroy them in the last 5 mins, but it got a bit sloppy and ended a bit closer than it should've. Good win though!

Is it just me, or does Love put up "hollow" stats? It's like there's no substance to them. Nearly a third of his rebounds are off of consecutive tip ins it seems like. He's a good player, but not on Blake's/LA's level.

Wow is all i have to say.
Portland has won 14 straight against Min, and i dont think any of those wins contained 1/4th the passing i saw in this game.
Wow. Like way to go is all i can say that came from no where.
This team had the slowest pace a year a go, and we just Ran like we were the hawks or something, man incredible.
Very nice Job. Rudy, props to Rudy, i thought just as he stole that, man he is getting better, then he goes down, oh no its over, again.

But all i have to say, in a negative aspect, is The 3 goggles are officially old now.
I think there was a 3 goggle after every shot, including free throws.
Like dont kill it before it can grow, slow down on the 3 goggles, over playing them way to much, just pull them out on  clutch shots, BIG 3's.
