Brandon Roy Apologizes To Team

    Mike Rice just mentioned on today's Chalk Talk (which can always be viewed on trailblazers.tv) that B-Roy apologized to the team after the loss in Memphis. He said after a loss, you get frustrated and don't really mean the things that end up getting said.

    Here's the nut graph from Jason Quick's piece on Roy's apology:

     “I felt it needed to be addressed,’’ Roy said. “So I apologized about the comments that were made. I told them I don’t want to be pointing fingers at anybody. This is a situation where I’m not playing the way I want to play, and we are all frustrated. Nobody wants to lose. But I was wrong for what I said, and I will definitely take full responsibility. It shouldn’t have been said.’’

    Yes, I think it is a good move by Brandon and I respect him for it.

    Agreed. I think Brandon recognized that he let frustration get the better of him and he was honest with his teammates admitting he made a mistake. Definitely a good move from BRoy!

    Good move, though I don't what the post-game quote was, but yeah, either way, good to communicate after something that you regret. With these tough times, frustration is likely to get the better of a person.
    I am a fan of Beating the Lakers on opening night, Lillard being the next big thing and this season being successful!

    Brandon Roy isn't a bad guy...He's just frustrated on his situation. I mean come on...We lose only 25-30 games per season...We have lost almost half of that...and it's not even 1/4 through the season!

    I write the same: good move, now I am waiting for the answer from rest of the team,  I mean Let's win the game in Dallas and Show Roy that WE have good team with all players scoring not only Roy and Roy !

    If you mean Roy, that he was wrong to point fingers out of frustration.
    Maybe he was afraid Dre was going to take him down next for the " slow " comment..  J/K :)

    That's the leader we know Brandon can be.  The great ones make their teammates better. He will find a way, and took a huge step in the right direction !!

    Apologizing won't do anything, and Roy was at fault more than anyone except Nate.  Sorry Roy, but you can't talk with 7 points after throwing up 16 shots.  Be a man, not a B****.  Dre needs to step up and be like "You ---> Here.  You --- > There".  Dre is running the show until Roy can figure out what he can do with his body.

    Resign Dre and Camby next season please.

    NOT ENOUGH SAID.....Roy has a great point.  We are stuck in the land of mediocrity...not good enough to win not bad enough to get a draft pick.  I don't know how many blown series we need or games lost before stupid management figures it out that Andre isn't a good fit with the team

    Way to go for Brandon, it is only obvious with the way that he is playing that he is frustrated. But nice work on the apology!
