Many of you know the launch of Trail Blazer . TV, I'm sure.

I would just like to give my feedback in hopes somebody 'higher up' reads this.

First off, you have commercials integrated as if they're not. Example: http://www.nba.com/blazers/tbtv/video.html?videoID=117 You have the main Blazer dance act as if she actually bought it. No, this is a commercial. I'm disgusted at your way of trying to throw out quality videos but in reality, sneaking in ads. Wait a sec, you're not sneaking in any ads, THE WHOLE THING IS ONE GIANT AD!! "Hi, I just brought home my new Fiesta! It's a 2011..." Seriously guys? At least TELL us if it is going to be an ad. I think the part that pisses me off the most, is the fact you try to sell the car with the whole 'sex sells' marketing piece. I'm ashamed to have actually give Trailblazer.tv hits (views).

Also, something else that really is terrible is the format and what you guys use to launch the movies. It would be SO much better if you made a Youtube channel, put it on private (so nobody can go to youtube and bypass your Trailblazer.tv site) upload the videos in HD (high definition, 1080p). This way, we, the viewers get a video platform that is reliable, HD, commonly used across the internet and better! Another reason why the current video is terrible is because it takes you to a direct link and a video player pops up in the middle of screen as if you did not get taken to a separate link. Seriously, who is in charge of this website designing or java or C++, whatever you guys use.

One other thing, Youtube is going to be hosting a livestream service any month here, so why not just use Youtube? PS: I'm not advertising for Youtube, but 'am letting the Blazer community and staff know that it is the THIRD most viewed website in the world. This would be a great way to SPREAD the Blazer community to reach new audiences.

I love the direction you guys are taking with the hosting of a new website, but I'm not feeling the layout, design  etc. I'm just trying to give positive feedback.

Protip: Let people know if they're going to be clicking on an advertisement and not have a hot chick drive up "I JUST BROUGHT HOME MY NEW FIESTA 2011!!!!" lol seriously, this is something I would expect from Www.LeekSpin.com

Thanks for the feedback... you seem to be a pretty active poster, so we'll take these ideas to heart.

A couple of issues, due to league restrictions, we have to use their player. We can't use YouTube, has to be in that player. Side note, YouTube is pretty bad actually. Buffers constantly, tough to navigate... popular, yes, great viewing experience, no.

Layout is meant to be simple. That's the feedback we got, needs to be clear where the video is, not clutter a lot around the player. If you want to watch videos on the homepage of trailblazers.tv in that featured video area, click on the big round play button. That will allow you not to leave the page. If you click on the title, you will go to that videos page. We need a way to link to that deeper page to handle a lot of the other functinoality that would clutter up the experience and potentially scare non-tech fans off.

As far as the BlazerDancer blogs. Not all video blogs involve Cristi and her Ford. Ford is an amazing partner and because of that, we have funding to bring you sites like trailblazers.tv. We try to go above and beyond to give our fans an amazing experience digitally. With that comes advertising. That's just the way the web, and business works. Now, if you don't appreciate that it is content and product integration, that's fine. But we've had a lot of positive feedback around this campaign. We did it all last year with Melissa and she had thousands of video views with and without her Ford.

The image that promotes the Dancer ad is a picture of her, standing with her car. Not sure what is confusing about that.

Once again, appreciate your passion and we'll look into your concerns. Just thought I'd shed some light on the reasoning and strategy behind trailblazers.tv.

    Dan.

Personally I love TBTV it's a site I make sure to check every day.  Love Adams Man cave it makes me cringe with envy.  It would be awesome if we could get a section for fan video blogs if possible, even if they have to be submitted and viewed by a TBTV mod before public viewing is allowed.  Love Patty Cakes, GO with G.O. and all the inside stuff that makes me feel like an important fan as opposed to just another team follower.  Question however... Is Adam going to be having a IAMA account to post blogs and on boards? If he has one I can't find it and would love to hear some of his opinions on these topics or even a section in pregame where they pick out a thread from the site and they talk about it on air, relay some good POVs and discuss what their thoughts on the thread topic is (or make a thread just for a pregame topic for people to discuss to be brought up).  Just throwing some ideas around if you like these i can try to brainstorm for other ideas see if you guys have any insight.

Having the games available on the website is great! I am glad I get to catch a few games, I just wish there was an option for those of us who cannot get Comcast to see the rest of the games.

Also, a few questions/comments about the streaming:
    1. The 500 kbps stream seems like fairly low quality for 500kbps, what codec do you guys encode your stream with?
    2. On your iamatrailblazersfan.com streaming page there is a meta key which causes the browser to refresh every 600 seconds, this gets a bit annoying when trying to watch the game.
    3. Is there anywhere to stream the game without all the other stuff around it (box scores, play-by-play, etc..). I understand the need for having Ads around it, thats perfectly fine. I just find the other stuff a bit distracting.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
