RealGM has the same policy as we do here, so I'm going to use their policy:
Users may not post illegal streaming links to any games during the summer leagues, preseason or regular season.

It is a violation to broadcast or link to broadcasts of unauthorized videos, such as unlicensed videos of summer league games (live or recorded). Such videos violate U.S. copyright law andtherefore are impermissible. All users must refrain from posting any broadcasts or links to broadcasts of videos that are not from NBA.com or the NBA. All such material is unlawful and will be removed. Users who post such material will be subject to disciplinary action.
Basically, do not post the link to the stream or the link to the site which hosts streaming games. Also, please do not use the message boards to start new threads about having the link or asking for one. Either send your friends a private message, e-mail, or talk to them using the MeeBo chat below to pass along any streaming information, but lets try to keep it from cluttering up the message boards.

I realize everyone here has the same goal of wanting to watch the team play, but we've got to abide by the rules.

    Thanks

No, real fandom is actually not caring if you have to pay to enjoy something. If every fan thought the same as you, there wouldn't be an NBA because they wouldn't make any money.

Besides that isn't even the point. The point is that it is in violation of copyright laws and they can't allow it.

But I will say that the Blazers really messed things up bad by signing that stupid contract with comcast, which is a terrible company. I don't want all their other garbage, I just want the Blazer games. If they would stream all the games online i would pay for it, but since they don't and they go out of their way to make it extremely limited on options to get it and they want to sell me all their other junk with it that I don't want, I look for the illegal streams. But I'm not so naive to go onto an NBA owned domain to look for them.

Tell Paul Allen to buy the contract back from comcast so we can see the games.

Thanks for the rules Hawes :)
    My questions are:
    1. Once a comcast deal is finished, will all games be streamed live on the internet from this site ?  If the answer is no, then :
    2. How can a business owned by the co-founder of microsoft have such difficulties with a web site ?
    3. If the answer to #1 is yes,  what will the charge be ??

    Go Blazers !!!!

The Comcast situation is under wraps pretty tight. I really know just as much as the average fan.

you can pay for that nba leauge pass thing where you get to choose three teams that you want to watch and if you pay for it you get to watcha ll of their games.  So you can get it streamed online if you pay, the only problem with that is you have to pay for at least two other teams too so it ends up being almost as expensive as if you just got one of the cheaper cable packages from comcast and the quality is worse on the computer so its probably better just to get the comcast thing.  Thats what I did.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that

While you can purchase league pass, you have to be outside of the Blazers market (not sure what the distance is) or else the games will be blacked out. So make sure you talk to your cable provider before doing so.

Wow, three teams is dope. Blazers Miami and idk LA i guess, that would be so sick. Or just sportscenter all the time. Sports Center Channel. Oh.

OK lets talk about that "real fan" thing. Sure we shouldnt care whether we pay or not but if they dont give us the choice then we need to seek out alternatives and those are all free. I know the preseason is over so this is too little too late but for next year anyone who wants the site to where you can see free streaming can message me and Ill hook you up. GO BLAZERS!!!!!!
I am a fan of getting the regular season started already!!! I need my fix!

If the Comcast deal gets done, it is still up in the air if they will be streamed. The league has granted permission but still has rules in place on when and how we can stream. Since we're not there yet, we can't jump ahead. However, it goes beyond us and our team unfortunately, regardless of Paul and his ties with Microsoft.

I hope that clarifies the situation a little... 16 games for free this year for the people of 150 miles from PDX is the best we can do given the circumstances we're dealt with.

i understand the new streaming deal, but it really sucks for someone like me, a die-never blazers fan and student attending college away from home. i also understand that it's the nba rule and not that of the team. not happy about the 150-mile restriction.

Does any one know if there is a strict 150 mile radius for the streaming? I am in the same boat as Kassandra, a huge blazer fan that happens to be attending college so i live across the state.

as far as i know, it's an nba regulation that the free streaming has to be within the kgw broadcast area. i'm 675 miles away from portland, so i'm screwed.

perhaps not the ip, but it is possible to track the internet service provider, which is generally local to where you are.

I was hoping that since I use Comcast as my ISP Comcast would have a way to stream the games.  We have only limited basic cable.  So other than KGW games, I don't see a way to watch Blazers at home.  It sounds like if I pay for NBA League Pass I can get TNT games along with KGW, but still not Comcast Sportsnet due to blackout rules - right?!?

For some sports ESPN will stream games (NCAA Football for example) on ESPN3's website.  They require you to be using an ISP that is provided by a company that has a contract with ESPN.  This is how we watched Duck game last Thursday.  ESPN3 website asked who our ISP provider was, when we said Comcast it put a Comcast logo on the site and there was the game.  It would be great if Comcast Sportsnet could at least do this.  Although of course what would be ideal is if there was a way to pay a fee and stream Blazer games anytime you want no matter what channels they are on via TV....

I know a website where you can download pretty much all of the nba games for free, with good quality video, maybe 5 hours after the games are over.  I watched almost all of the nba games last year when I was living in Peru, no problem.  The website also has classic games going all the way back to the pistol peete era.  If any of you want to know the website, email me at jslensen@gmail.com
