Bickerstaff, Ociepka, Buck Williams join coaching staff

     PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers announced today that Head Coach Nate McMillan has finalized his coaching staff for the 2010-11 season with the hiring of Bernie Bickerstaff, Bob Ociepka and Buck Williams.
     
    Bickerstaff, Ociepka and Williams join assistant coaches Bill Bayno and Kaleb Canales to complete McMillan’s staff.
     
    “After many interviews, I’m excited to bring a new balance and chemistry to the team,” said McMillan. “The Bs – Bernie, Bob and Buck - will be a great addition to the Trail Blazers family and to our community. I’ve added a lot of experience to my bench, and I feel they will help the team continue to grow and take the next step.

    I love Buck - #52 - good old days . . .I hope this hire can reinstall some passion as far as the coaching goes, in some way or another.
    I am a fan of Beating the Lakers on opening night, Lillard being the next big thing and this season being successful!

    Good to have Buck back, though I hope he's ready to hit the ground running. Getting LaMarcus and Greg coached up might be the difference between a good year and a championship year. No time to rest on reputation.

    I'm thinking fan appreciation night/Buck appreciation night, fans and/or players reppin the goggles! I would love to see this! I'm 100% with u on this DHawes

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
