The 78 team is better, but Walton was injured for the rest of the season so I have to assume he can't play in a hypothetical matchup between these teams, so 88 wins by default in my book.

I voted for the 78 team because they were just as good as the title winning team the year before, only injuries bit them hard. It seems like Portland gets these really elite teams and everything falls perfectly in place to reach that status level, yet when we need to get over the hump, there is that piece to the puzzle missing somewhere.

    Tough decision on this one.
Had to go with the 77-78 team.
They were at the top of the league until the injury bug changed things.

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
