Portland could get Nate Robinson Raymond Felton, Allen Iverson or Steve Blake through free agency or just get one in the draft.

Or we could wait for Patty Mills and Jerryd Bayless to develop.

Because Andre ain't gettin' any younger.

    Any comments would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Not sure Robinson would gel with a disciplined setting; same thing for Iverson. I see us picking up Blake this Summer and trading Bayless out while he has stock.

OK thanks, but would'nt Felton be an upgrade over Blake. Also are Juwan Howard and Pryzbilla gonna resign? Cause, (I'm an optimist) but there is Chris Bosh and Amare Stoudemire on the market. Also, Dirk Nowitzki can play SF, PF and C. Do they all cost too much? And who is better (and younger), Greg Oden, Bosh, Amare or Dirk? Thanks again.

Good questions on Howard and Pryz. I think we could keep Juwan for as long as we wanted, while Pryz probably only has the one more season before he wants to move closer to home. To be honest, I can't personally put Oden in the same category as Bosh, Amare, or Dirk. Greg is unproven and as a friend of mine noted, he has been seen at the strip clubs more than he has been seen keeping in shape.

Yeah I suppose but Oden's still an (hopefully) up and coming star.

And, I gotta say, this is a pretty solid team (when healthy)
and I would only suggest changing point guards.

It's just that the upcoming free agents are pretty top notch
so I thought we could get a new baller to add to our already
    good stock.

    Thanks for your info.

i was just wondering what do you guys think of patty mills because being australian myself ive followed his career as much as could and he's got game

i know he was a late pick in the draft but as we know that draft was really deep at the pg position and alot of those guys are now thriving in the nba

i think given the chance patty could aswell but he just doesnt get the mins he killed in the d league and when given minutes he does seem to contribute as best he can couple of games ago he got 4 mins and had 8 points thats good production in limited minutes

so what do u guys think should he get a chance in the future whether it be starting or playing first backup point guard instead of second or third

I think that Patty Mills has huge potential, but with Miller & Bayless @ point - they're going to get the majority of minutes. We have so many talented players, it's almost impossible to give them all the playing time they deserve.

I think we should keep Mills in the D-league so he still gets a good amount of minutes and then next year bring him up to the NBA. This would gradually (but not to slowly) give him more and more minutes as Andre Miller is getting older and then when Andre retires/gets traded, keep Mills and Bayless as a kind of plutoon @ the PG position. P.S. Who hs a better potential? Patty Mills or J-Bay?

i think patty could be good now hes got a solid jump shot very quick and his man to man defense is good

    hes not athletic vertical wise

the only thing he needs to develope is the ability to be a playmaker

on the other hand bayless is a good offensive player not quite as polished as mills but he has more weapons to use offensively because of his height and athleticism and is still growing as an all round player

so i think bayless has more potential because mills has pretty much met his limits where as bayless's game is still growing

J-Bay for sure...He's way more aggressive going to the hoop & drawing fouls, but also has a decent jump shot. Sometimes he could pass more & get his teammates involved, but over all he's way more athletic & scrappy than Patty Mills.

J-Bay has potential but Mills has stuff you cant teach. He leads his team to play better. It shows with the Australian Team, St Mary's Gaels and even in the D-League. The game in the D-League when he scored 38 off the bench he still made his team play well. He had something like 11 assists and the another player scored 30 as well.

Patty just needs to be given an opportunity for the Blazers. Its hard when you get limited minutes and you dont know whether your coach wants you or not.

Oh and Patty can dunk as well he just plays like a mature player knowing that you can only try and dunk the ball so much and get punished under the rim.

He will hit a jump shot on you and make you play D and when you think he can only shoot from outside he drives it.

It showed in the NBA Draft try-out in Cleveland the day before draft day. The coach had to keep subbing the guards off cause they couldn't keep up with him.
I am a fan of Patty Mills. Cant wait to see him get some PT

    Sorry Aussie,

Imo,  if Nate had any confidence in Mills, they wouldn't have signed Blake jr. If Mills is still here next season, I will comment on his abilities.

JBay imo, could be a long term fit.  He's the best defending guard the Blazers have. You have to love his fire.

The only thing I know for sure, is that adding a rookie pg this off season, wouldn't be my choice.
I like the veterans the Blazers have now, what they will teach this team is priceless. Why not try to keep them?

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
