    Time to vote on new match-ups. Today is the 1989-90 vs 1983-84 teams. Vote on who you think would win AND tell us why you voted that way. You might be able to sway some of your fellow Blazermaniacs to vote with you.

    1998-99:Overall record: 35-15 (3rd in league, 3rd in conference, 1st in division)
    The Trail Blazers made it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1992 and posted the league's third best-regular season record (35-15) in a lockout-shortened slate that beganin February and ended in May.     I went with 99 in the toughest decision to date in this bracket. They did go much farther in the playoffs than the 09 team despite probably being less talented on paper, but the 99 team had the veteran experience and was just as deep. I think Grant, Sheed, and Sabas would give the 09 team problems just like the Rocket big men did to us last year.

    I agree the bigs of '99 would destroy last years team..Damn if we couldn't have had Sabas in his prime..
    I am a fan of MY TEAM NO MATTER WHAT, ALWAYS HAVE BEEN ALWAYS WILL BE A BLAZER BELIEVER!

    Okay, I''ll admit it, I like Asik better. I definitely think they will both have very good careers. And finally, someone who agrees, that Ibaka is a  shot blocker, not really a great defender.

    Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
