how bout we trade our rooks for big ben wallace?

    i worked out a trade on espn trade machine, we trade pendegraph and mills to detroit for ben wallace. this might be the best temorary fix for our big man problems at center. hes still productive on the defensive end a big body for sure, no offense at all but we got plenty of shooters and LA postin up he just needs to be an able body and aggressive on the boards. and he has a ton of playoff experience that will help out the limited blazers in that department. and he is on the last year of his contract! and we would only be givin up a couple rookies who wouldnt have much of a role if we were all healthy to begin with.

    Talent wise, it is more than fair to give up for Ben Wallace, but I think that Wallace is at his point in his career where he would only leave Detroit to go to a contender.
    Also, I think we would have  to up our offer. Big Ben is an expiring which means we would not be taking a bad contract off of their hands.

    That's not just a couple of rookies. We're talking about the anchor of Portland's bench and practice squad. Rudy hasn't hit a shot in like 3 games, Blake is a little inconsisant, and Batum's shoulder randomly goes out forcing him to sit for a while. With Dante and Jeff, you know what your gonna get. Hustle, grit, determination, and some halfway decent shooting. 

    With that being said, do you still wanna trade them for a big monster who air balled 4 free throws in a row? Or how 'bout when he unwillingly helped start a riot in Detroit? Those are a couple things that must not've been in that trade machine eh? Nice try though fo sho.

    JP is a nice player who gets the team fired up pre-game, but he gets lost on defense too much and I really haven't seem much out of him outside of that 14 rebound game.
    Patty, on the other hand, has shown absolutely nothing in his time here, which really isn't his fault, but it would be foolish to hold onto him if someone like Ben Wallace was available. He does have some nice potential and has been playing really well when he went down to his stint in the DLeague, but I think people continue to forget we stash Euro's overseas like a kid with gummy bears in his pockets. Petteri and Freeland could come over next year and make up for those two leaving.
    Also, lets not forget those two were 2nd round picks. KP is a pretty good talent evaluator and I'm sure he could find similar, if not better, players in next year's draft.

    while its true hes had his difficulties in the past, we would only have him for half a season and he wouldnt destroy a team in such short amount of time, he isnt the TO of basketball or anything.  if it was a long term deal then i would totally agree

    Ben Wallace is a washed up has been who will not play beyond this season.  I'm surprised he lasted this season. . .

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
