    1999-00:Overall record: 59-23 (2nd in league, 2nd in conference, 2nd in division)
Three losses---two of them on the basketball court---clouded an otherwise outstanding season for the Trail Blazers who recorded 59 victories to match their second-best best finish in franchise history. The biggest setback came May 5, just two days before the team opened its semifinal playoff series against Utah, when popular assistant coach Bill Musselman lost a six-month battle with a rare disease, primary systemic amyloidosis. Two weeks earlier, the Blazers lost their regular season finale at home to Denver, 96-95, and failed to post the franchise's second 60-win season. CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

1984-85: Overall record: 42-40 (tie, 9th in league, 5th in conference, 2nd in division)
Biggest news of the 1984-85 season was the blockbuster trade that took place during the summer. To acquire Kiki Vandeweghe, the NBA's No. 3 scorer the previous season with a 29.4 ppg average, the Blazers sent to Denver Calvin Natt, Lafayette Lever and Wayne Cooper plus two draft choices.CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

That 1999-00 team was crazy stacked. I actually think they will give a lot of our historical teams a run for their money.

I agree with this. It looks like it will be inevitable that the 77 and 00 team will collide next round.

Refusing to play center for your team makes you a diva, Portland could be much better if LA moved to the 5 and we signed someone like Josh Smith or Paul Milsap to play the 4. Instead to pander to LA our targets are Zaza Pachulia, Samuel Dalembert,...

Howard would be fine if he was the same player he was in Orlando, but his back has really slowed him down and he is no longer the most dominant center in the league. His offense was always trying to dunk on people and getting fouled he has not imp...

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

  6. A question that could have team implications if it were to happen.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
