1976-77: Overall record: 49-33 (tie, 4th in league, 3rd in conference, 2nd in division)
Blazermania is born. The Trail Blazers crowned a storybook season by besting favored Philadelphia to win the NBA Championship, a first-ever world title for Portland. The capper came June 5 in Memorial Coliseum when Coach Jack Ramsay's club pulled out a 109-107 thriller in the sixth and deciding game. The Blazers became only the second team in NBA history to go all the way in their first trip to the playoffs. CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

2002-03: Overall record: 50-32 (tie, 5th in league; tie, 5th in conference; tie, 2nd in division)
A slow start morphed into a big-time run, leading to a 21st consecutive playoff berth. Through the first 16 games, the Blazers were just 7-9 and only 5-4 at home. But then during a torrid two-month run leading up to the All-Star break, Portland was the hottest commodity in the league, winning 22 of 27 games.CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

I went with 77, but this game would be "Closer than the experts think". The 03 team had size and athleticism to bang with Lucas and Walton. Sheed, Sabas, and Z-Bo were clicking towards the end of the season and Pip playing at point guard would have caused problems for the 77 team, but in the end, the Champs were clicking on even higher cylinders.

I have to disagree. While the talent levels are close, the 77 team had "it". Chemistry is an intangible asset that will show up on the scoreboard at games end. They were the champs for a reason, while the the 03 team couldn't even get out of the first round.

Well, the lottery is tomorrow, so fingers crossed. What my issue is, is that why would the Bucks trade away one of their best players, and potential DPOY for many years to come, for Nic Batum and a bunch of picks in a weak draft?

Blaser, Fab Melo had 14 blocks in the D-League, you want him? Noel has good instincts, but he is waaay to weak to go up against NBA bigs. Like I said before, Deron Williams weighs more than him. He as already had a knee injury, and we know how tha...

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
