Someone needs to light a fire under everyone of the Blazer players. They show no level of competitiveness, muscle and overall no excuse for their lack luster play. Just because your All-Star Brandon Roy is injured and no playing is no excuse to act like a bottom of the barrel team. They need to show intensity and desire to play the game. Everyone of them is at fault for their poor level of play and someone has to get it through to them that its just no acceptable to play like this and the Blazer fans around the world I am sure would agree that each one of those players is respondsible for how this team preforms and they better start acting like it. Its gonna be the worst season in Blazer history if this continues and fans have every right to complain. They better get the fire started and start competeting and acting like a team.

The Blazers better have some Fire and Intensity that comes out of this draft or they can not expect the Blazer fans to have any if the Blazers dont come a way with it themselves.

The Blazers fan base is gonna discuss largely if they dont get serious with the draft and the talent they have in Batum and Aldridge.

Also Blazer fans need to realize that the new GM Neil Olshey that he loves and adores Kaleb Canales. Lets all HOPE and PRAY as Blazer fans. That Kaleb Canales does not become the Blazers next Head Coach. I know for a fact he doesnt have the experience and everything this team needs to make it to the next level and become a Championship winning team. If you want to keep having sub par seasons and low expectations that you can have Kaleb Canales as your coach. But the Blazers need a proven winner and experience and thats Just not gonna be Kaleb Canales as the Blazers head coach.

So the Blazers need a coach thats got experience and can lead the Blazers players and fans to a NBA Championship and good draft picks, or they need to start lookiing for new management and ownership that can give the City of Portland and Blazer fans what they have been waiting for over 35 years for.

So let Blazer NATION say Loud and Clear, so the Blazer organization can hear them that they want success from now on and no more failure of success!

We need a #1 guy like Brandon was. LA and Batum will never be the type of guys to want to lead a team. They are great sidekicks, but never the image of a team. I say draft someone who can be our next Brandon Roy. It seems Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, and maybeeee Damien Lillard could be that. Key word maybe on that last one. I say draft one of those three - a few years from now they should be good enough to take the spotlight and make the rest of the team better.

We need passion Lillard has worked hard to get out the ghetto in Oakland and I think his drive and passion could be contagious. However, the easiest way to get a real leader would be to sign Garnett, he demands total effort.

The problem is no one talks. Without communication, no one is held accountable. Especially on defense. Nothing bothers me more than seeing someone get stripped for the ball from behind on a fast break. No one is yelling watch your back, screen, or get in eachothers face about blown assignments. There are no leaders. This is one of those rare times where having a few more chiefs than indians would actually be a good thing.

Common agreed our defense was terrible last year and it was because of poor rotations, no help defense and bad communication. We sounded like young Hellen Kellers on defense.

that's why i will be happy to see felton and crawford take a hike.  i think things will be much different in the intensity and defense area with those two gone. good riddance.

Don't forget Andre Miller. Brandon's leadership was obviously key, but Miller's directing traffic on the floor was also sorely missed last season.

I think the fire is going to come from the coach this year. I think a lot of young talent will be brought in, and our veteran leadership might not change much. However, I don't expect Canales to be head coach. Here's why: Olshey called him the "in-house favorite." What that means is Kaleb, out of everyone already on Portland's payroll, is the best one for the job. That's absolutely true, or he wouldn't have been placed in the interim position in the first place. However, if they go out and interview experienced coaches, someone will overtake Canales in the coaching race. In other words, the only thing Olshey said is that, having not interviewed any other coaches, Kaleb is the best person we have for the position. Don't freak out too much; I'm sure the Blazers will have a coach that can motivate whatever roster they have at the beginning of the season.

Watching the movie about Lillard and hearing his interview made me certain that he will be a firey and intense guy in the NBA.  He will be one of the most competitive and I think he could take over leadership of this team by his 2nd year (Lamarcus doesn't fit the role).  This is one of the biggest reasons we should take him but nobody talks about this part of him and his game.

Pair him with Miller and we will have some leaders on this team.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.

Nah, Washington would just sign him themselves, save them a pick. Also, no way JJ is worth a lottery pick. Oladipo would be great, for pretty much any team in the NBA. I don''t think it''s possible to get him though. Should focus on getting a defe...

Jermaine O''Neal, Drazen, Z-Bo, Sheed (I know he was already a star but still). Also Drazen was buried under Drexler and Porter.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
