1977-78: Overall record: 58-24 (1st in league, 1st in conference, 1st in division)
Through the first 60 games, the defending NBA champions were making prognosticators look good. Before the season started, they labeled the1977-78 Blazers the "team of destiny." Coach Jack Ramsay's club appeared to be just that, dominating the league for the first four months. CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

The injury bug really bit the 78 team as they were poise to win back to back titles and the 89 team set the foundation for those great Finals runs. Both teams had very equal talent in my book, but what sways this in favor of the 78 team is team chemistry. The 78 team won well over 50 games where the 89 team didn't even get to .500.

Can anyone who saw the Walton teams play give us an indication about just how dominant they could have been? Its a damn shame injuries tore that team apart because it looked like they were on par for back to back least.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Thank God they are 19 games over 500.  Mayb...

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
