1985-86: Overall record: 40-42 (11th in league, 6th in conference, 2nd in division) For only the second time in the decade-long tenure of Coach Jack Ramsay, the Trail Blazers failed to win more games than they lost, finishing at 40-42. Still, they made it into post-season play for the ninth time in ten seasons. But Portland couldn't get past the first round in the playoffs, being eliminated by Denver in four games. 1999-00: Overall record: 59-23 (2nd in league, 2nd in conference, 2nd in division) Three losses---two of them on the basketball court---clouded an otherwise outstanding season for the Trail Blazers who recorded 59 victories to match their second-best best finish in franchise history. The biggest setback came May 5, just two days before the team opened its semifinal playoff series against Utah, when popular assistant coach Bill Musselman lost a six-month battle with a rare disease, primary systemic amyloidosis. Two weeks earlier, the Blazers lost their regular season finale at home to Denver, 96-95, and failed to post the franchise's second 60-win season. CONTINUE READING/Become of fan of this team

99-00 was one of the best teams this franchise has ever had. Although they had no true superstar, the depth on that team was just ridiculous. Our front court consisted of Sheed, Sabas, BG, and Jermaine O'Neal...nasty. It's too bad 12 minutes of bad basketball cost this franchise their 2nd ever NBA championship.

Portland had Kersey, Drexler, and I think Porter on the 86 team, but they were just too inexperienced to handle Sabonis and Pippen. We had a great mix of youth and vet leadership in 00. A lot of people talk about the meltdown in Game 7, but the turning point in that series was losing both Games 3 and 4 at home..you can't go 1-2 at home and expect to win the series. Anyways, no one is touching this team until maybe the Finals of this bracket. Too good. Too deep.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
