    Do you think the Blazers can hold onto first place? Here it is Jan. 03, 2010 and we are officially in First place in the NW division all by ourselves. Normally we have a game coming up we should win in L.A. vs the Clippers. Do you think keeping the line-up the way it is working will keep getting us wins? Also how do you guys think Mills is going to fit into the rotation tonight? He sure had one hell of a rehab...looking good Patty!

    I think eventually we're looking at a letdown if we can't get some guys healthy. Tonight against the Clippers is going to be tough. They missed a ton of shots in Portland, shots you figure might go down at the Staples Center.

    After tonight there we've got five games that, while they are at home, are tossups at best. Memphis is playing some great ball, the Lakers are the Lakers, we haven't beaten the Cavs in a dogs age, the Bucks are much improved and the Magic are a terrible matchup for us right now re: size. So long story short, holding on to the top spot is going to be tough.

    As for Patty, wouldn't expect to see him get much playing time. Maybe a short rotation just to see if he can blow by the Clipper PGs, but other than that, I think they brought him back as a precaution.

    Well, that lead didn't hold very long!
    That loss was expected..too hard to win on the road without LaMarcus, but at least Denver has Melo and Billups out for a little longer. This stretch in January could make us or break us. I think as long as we can stay within 2 games all year long AND win one game in Denver to tie the season series, we've got as good a shot as any.

    I completely agree he could be that voice on the court we need. Lamarcus just isn''t that guy and Damian can learn some on court leadership from him. A small lineup when we need a score bad of Dame, Wes, Paul, Nic, and Lamarcus would be potent.

    Howard is great but his back injury and shoulder issues this year were troubling.
