But did we just pull off a victory with only ONE man on the floor from last years team or was it TWO? In any case all the off season acquasitions have sure payed off and having a couple of veterans out there sure has been our strength. Miller and Howard are playing great and our rookies are playing great defence and grabbing boards. Oh...and we all know what our MVP has been doing! Great victory over the Warriors...keep it up boys and help is just around the corner!

Well, basically one since Martell played all of 5 minutes and Bayless only got mop up duty. Andre is proving to be a bigger acquisition than advertised. He is keeping us in the games early an it is so refreshing to have a point guard that can score in the post and keep his defender honest on the defensive end of the floor.
Martell picked a heckuva game to be on, and Brandon was simply phenomenal, but what about the defense? After the 41 point 1st quarter, Golden State could muster no more than 17 in the final 3 quarters. Simply amazing defense and heart. I am so proud of our boys right now!

And one other cool stat was that between Webster and Cunningham they pulled down 21 boards! The Warriors were just plain "HOT" in that first period and they were bound to cool off. Heck, we actually had a great offensive 1st quarter if ya think about it. Knowing that they (the Warriors) would sooner or later run out of fire power from long distance is why the Blazers played so much zone tonight and it eventually worked. Portland played an overall very solid game and if they can keep it up, they should be able to hold a decent record going into the all star break knowing that Rudy and Travis are just itching to get back out there. Let's wish Steve a quick recovery and hopefully L.A. will be back on Monday! Geez...the future keeps actually looking better if ya think about it. Can you only imagine how dangerous this team will be oneday?

Watch out Rip City...here comes the "Hard-Luck Kidz!"

    peace out,

For the 1st time last night, the MVP chants were justified from the Rose Garden crowd.

NBA.com and ESPN.com have really been pushing the Kobe/Laker button frequently. It's beginning to get ridiculously stupid. B-Roy is lucky if his outstanding performances are even acknowledged as a nightly notable. They all must think we're cellar dwellers, but the Blazers are currently the top dog in the NW division. BOOM!!

Hopefully the media caught wind of this performance by Roy..32 points on 9-11 shooting is just straight rediculous..he deserves to be All-NBA 1st Team at least..he is just a smooth operator out there on the court right now.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
