I like Andre Miller more, but whomever we can get more trade value out of is the one I am for trading as long as we continue to feature JB. Bayless is the point guard of the future and we really only need 2 point guards so whichever guard, Blake or Andre, can bring us back a stop-gap small forward of backup center must go.

Andre. I like his ability to run the team and still be an offensive threat. The team is 8-2 in games in which he has started. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.

After his showing against Miami, is this even a debate anymore?
    I didn't think so

Future point guards: jerryd "I got my jumpshot back" bayless and patty "even chris paul can't catch me" mills. As of right now it's gotta be miller. Trade blake and give mills some run. Also if bayless keeps stroking the three, what does blake give us bayless doesnt?

Right now I don't care if Miller or Blake gets traded, wouldn't mind seeing both of them leave in a package deal may be. I think the minutes helped Bayless a lot. He should be our point guard rest of the way. It's not like we have a shot at much this season, we may as well build our PGOTF. We have to give him the ball some time, why not when we are not as competitive as we should be?

When Mills returns, it would mean half of our healthy roster are point guards, and we have lost our only two centers, so if we do make a move, we would have to deal a point guard (not bayless) just to give us some size out of necessity.

After watching the past few games (yes, including the Blake daggers against Denver), it is becoming more and more apparent that Miller is the point guard. Blake is a shooting guard who is tentative with the ball and doesn't look to create at all. The offense stalls when the ball is in his hands and he is best served spotting up in the corner for a 3, which is fine for a bench player, but since the topic is one or the other, I am still 100% on board with Andre Miller.
Monday's game against Philly was a perfect example. We were in good shape to come away with a win as Dre was running the show. He had nearly half of our assists and actually got us some fast break points.

They both have their advantages, but I would have to go with Miller if I had to choose. Experience, control and consistancy makes him the better choice. I say keep em both for each man can help solve a certain game ending situation. Miller is like a "Mr. Reliable" in my eyes...a solid 4th quarter choice especially to close out the game and he is aggressive. Blake though plays some tough "D" and can hit the bombs that we have needed at times in a clutch situation...especially in a "come from behind" scenerio which the Blazers are so famous for it seems! LOL Not only that but Blake is a much better ball handler than Miller is. Like I said, I like em both...as a matter of fact I like the whole darn team. I want them all to stay in Portland for a while because they would be a very dangerous team once they are healthy and start clicking on all cylinders.

    peace out,
    daddy

Any reason why Andre was out the entire 4th quarter against Memphis? He was a shoe-in for a triple double!
One theory I have heard was that Coach wanted him to get back on D, but he felt we needed the offensive rebounding instead.
All in all, I don't think that game was lost on Dre not being in there in the 4th, rather getting complacent with 3:45 left in the game is what did us in, questionable calls or not.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
