A miracle to win in Cleveland?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Blazers never play well at Cleveland since they acquired LeBron James. It'll make it especially difficult without Greg and they have two, huge bodies down low to throw at Joel in Shaq and Big Z. If you're not a fan of either team, it may be worth while to just tune in to see the bout between Joel an Shaq, because when those two go at it, there are always some sort of fireworks. Needless to say, they don't send each other Christmas cards.
If Portland wants to have any chance at stealing a win in Cleveland, Roy and Aldridge will need to carry the team, somehow hope LBJ has an off night, and cut down on the turnovers. Turnovers have been a bug-a-boo all year long, but now would be a great time to buck the trend.

Blazers did take 'Bron and the Cavs to OT last year, so I would consider that something to build on. We got a shot in this one. I can feel it.

I hope your feeling is one of optimism and not of indigestion
Really though, it would be very nice if Cleveland is without those 3 players (Anderson Varejao, Mo Williams, and Daniel Gibson) as it would be much easier to slack off them and force them to beat us from the outside as Mo and Booby are two of their top 3 statistical leaders from downtown.
I don't mind losing in this situation, but I really hope its not one of those 50+ point night for Bron where SportsCenter never shuts up about it.

Personally I'm calling this one 104-100 Blazers, even though ESPN's saying that CLE's got this by 10.

Unforced turnovers have been a big problem with Lebron, who had 5 in his last game alone.
Shaq will have a match to deal with against the defensive of Przybilla, who very well might end
up picking up a Technical Foul just for pissing Shaq off and eating his Wheaties in front of him.
Shaq is also a personal foul magnet, who has problems hitting free throws consistently, and only
seems to operate well in a Triangle offense situation where he can post up low and wait to get
the ball for his inside game.

I think, considering that the guys know that they're down to 8 guys, the Blazers'll buckle down to
business, realizing the awesome opportunity they have right here in front of them, which is to
embarrass one of the best teams in the East, at their house.

If they know what's up, we might see a stellar night from someone we might not have expected...
My guess is either Webster or Miller, but I have been wrong before. I'm not expecting a blowout
here, by any means one way or the other...

    Keys to the game:
    1. Force Shaq's hand on defense, by working inside with Przybilla. As an alternate, get Shaq to the foul line as much as reasonably possible, cause he's not a free-throw shooter at all (last I remember him playing with Phoenix, he wasn't)
    2. Hit the 3 ball a bit more consistently. Blake, Miller, and Webster, collectively; in turn, score more than 100 points.
    3. Juwon Howard's time to shine should be tonight on defense. An appropriately timed double team on either Lebron James or Mo Williams with someone with quickness on defense (maybe Bayless, or on the high outside chance, Cunningham steps it up out of nowhere?) might tempt a few unforced turnovers...

    That's my take on things.
I am a fan of Greg Oden getting healthy and shutting up his critics. Period.

Dont think they trade him for JJ tho, they can just sign Hickson.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
