We traded up in the 08 draft to pick up a steal in Bayless, yet he really has never been given consistent minutes throughout his short time in the NBA. Blake and Miller are both great veteran players to have on a team, but both are accustomed to playing more than they are now by splitting time on the roster.
There are pros and cons for keeping one over the other, and I'll leave that up for another debate, but why not give Bayless a chance to earn the backup role. Blake is not having the greatest of starts, scoring down from 11 to 7.6, assists are down from 5 to 4 a night, field goal percentage is down from .428 to .329, and finally, his forte, the 3 point shot is way down from .427 to .361. Miller on the other hand, has shown flashes of why he was brought it, but also is having a tough time meshing with Roy. I don't blame the slow 12-7 start on either of them (much more of a team thing), but every time Jerryd has came in the game, he has brought fire, intensity, and toughness that we have lacked at times this season. He gets to the line at will and always seems dialed in. It is proven he works just as hard or harder than anyone on the team in the practice facility, so I think it would be a nice reward to let him play 10-15 minutes a night on a consistent basis and see what you have there in the former lottery pick.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
