A 7ft guy who boxes out well and doesn't fall for pump fakes will give his teammates tons of easy rebounds. Rodman was an anomolly. Freak of nature...best rebounding instincts ever period. Underrated part of Rodman's game was his passing. He could throw a strike anywhere from post to post. Steve Kerr once reminisced that he and Will Perdue had more rings than MJ as they were traded to the Spurs and won a couple with them. We have more collective talent then those Jazz or Bulls teams..all that's needed is the hunger to dominate..swagger if you will but I think this team is close. Lopez is 25 years old! Freeland is 25 years old! Both have 5 more seasons of youth.
I am a fan of A team that plays like Tower of Power on a big stage on a good night

In the modern game, having guys who bring that effort to the "uglier" part the game. Rebounding requires work and effort and those 2 in particular bring that effort especially on the defensive side. Boxing out your man is so important and Lopez has really been exemplary in that regard.

Just as a note, I hope that Meyers gets a shot in the rotation soon because I feel like if he would just do a better rebounding job that he would be beneficial to this team. His size on its own is an asset and if he could just work on his positioning he could be a better defender. His main issue has always been his lack of court sense and that possibly is a result of coming out of college early. But with the way Lopez and Freeland are playing it must be pushing him in practice and in the scrimmages. I hope Leonard gets it right at some point soon. Just like Batum, if he would just put the effort in for his full quota of minutes, he would be halfway there.

    I am a fan of shouting Batuuuuuum-Shaka-Laka whenever Nic hits a 3!!!!!

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
