Well, the first half of the 1st game of the season is over. Down by 4, how do you guys think the team is doing for the ones who actually get to watch the game? Unfortunatly, I live in Salt Lake City, so I don't get to watch the game :/ only the gamecast on espn.com. Still struttin around showin off my Blazers tattoo on my bicep though ;) So what do you guys think?

Didn't renew this season for a reason.  Spent the summer questioning a team lacking a post presence in the half court.  Questioning a team built with only perimeter players.  Asking the question publicly on these boards, what happens when jump shots play lay ins?

Getting blown out by a cellar-dweller like Phoenix happens.

If you lack an interior presence in the half court, you MUST get easy baskets at the rim in transition.  Portland does not appear ready to play the defense necessary to trigger the break, and in fact, I am doubtful there has been any improvement over last season at this end of the floor.

Long season my friend.  Long season.

This just one game admittedly.  Not the loss that festers but rather the reasons for the loss.

I am a fan of players that play with PASSION and PRIDE

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

How I miss you. I want to take this time to appreciate the Blazers not appreciating the fans.

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
