This preseason has been pretty disastrous. There have been moments of encouraging play, but considering the hopes and expectations that have been placed on this team, we've got a long way to go before meeting them. Some people are saying we should be a bit concerned with our level of progress heading into the regular season, while others are saying there's no reason to worry yet and we're going to be just fine. What do you say?

Worry and worry now. Don't panic, but just worry.

Look the reality is we look terrible. Our flow is horrendous, turnovers are atrocious and our defense has so much holes if a luxury cruise ship passed through a tunnel it would look like a small compact car. WE ARE HORRIBLE. Don't blame it all on chemistry, there is what? 2 new people on this team, one of which will get solid minutes the other questionable. The other 4 guys either wont be on the team or wont get a lot of minutes. Our core is still in tact and yet we just cannot get it.

Someone needs to speak up on this squad and tell everyone else we need to get this together. This will be the first time I'm going to criticize Roy's leadership but the guy has to stop saying we're okay. He's pointed out that our defense is horrible and the chemistry needs work, but everything else needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if he's saying anything outside the cameras and interviews, but I do certainly hope he is saying that stuff.

Come on Blazers, don't let us down.

There's nothing wrong with worrying a little bit, but in the long run we should be fine because in my opinion alot of stuff the team has going on right now is just chemistry related issues. When people stop either getting injured or being held out of games and McMillan decides on a consistent lineup of whoever its going to be then we will progress to where most of us expects the team to go.

In my opinion the problem is the fact that this is just the preseason.  This team has only one thing on its mind right now, and that is getting back to the playoffs so they can advance closer to the championship.  They have not been playing with the intensity they normally would.  I think that when the first regular season game comes you will see a totally different team than what we have seen in the preseason so far.  Roy will take and make more shots, and so will Aldridge.  Rudy will be in the lineup.  Martel and Travis will knock down their 3's.  And with the increased intensity and focus the defense and turnovers will improve tremendously.  Right now the team is not looking at these games, but they are looking at the regular season.  I am not worried, but if somehow this play continues when we play the rockets on tuesday I will definately be worried.

You can't worry about the preseason at all. Look at the Seahawks, they dominated the preseason, tearing other teams to pieces. Then, after the bell rings to start the year, the Seahawks tripped over the bottom rope. Maybe they worked to hard in the preseason?
Plus, never forget, we are the Blazers. We haven't been assimilated by the Borg. (We don't get to be David Stern's favorite toy) Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol? C'mon man!

However if you read the articles and watch the interviews, you can see the expression on the players faces and what they say that they are actually trying to get better and they all sense something is wrong. Preseason is used to get back into the flow of things and to experiment. We have not caught the flow yet.

I wouldn't worry too much about the team because of the Batum injury. The Blazers will be just fine with Webster, Outlaw, and Cunningham at SF. The saddest part about this is that it will really slow down his development. He grows the most when he plays, and he wont be able to for a while.
So, worry about Batum, yes. Worry about the team, no.

although I do think that eraser head haircut is a little rediculous and outdated but none the less kid could either be huge or a complete bust and at this point if we had that number 1 pick I wouldn''t pass on him then I''d go out and get someone ...

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
