The Blazers have announced this morning that Richard Howell, a 22 yr young, 6'8" 250 lb forward out of NC State has been signed, bringing the roster to 19. Last season with NC State, Howell averaged 12.7 pts and 10.9 rebs in 31 minutes of action. Howell is known to be a "lunch pail" guy, a player who laces em up to compete. First team ACC last season and 5th all time at NC State in total rebounds with 1,055 Howell provides this Blazer team an anchor in the paint.

RichHo brings a skill set not necessarily in abundance to this team and his signing may be TRob insurance.  Love this pick up.  Only ask the man put some work in at the charity stripe.

I don't know much about this young man yet but at 6'8 isn't he a bit small to be TRobs backup? Seems like his competion would be Barton, Crabbe, Batum or Claver who all but Barton are taller. Maybe he's a Barkley sized 4? If he has good hands, rebounds, defends and passes well I'll be a fan. BDawg, would you give him a roster spot over Crabbe or Barton?

Of the 19 players currently on the roster, how many front court players have a back-to-the-basket game, are prolific rebounders with a nose for the ball, not afraid of contact and possessing the ability to finish thru it, and lastly...have this young man's motor and consistently tireless work ethic?

Faried was considered under-sized as well...WAS.

Short answer river...based solely on the print on paper I'm seeing, with strongest considerations for the composition of this roster and the abundance of wings with similar skill sets...YES.

The man is hungry and feels he has something to prove.  He will get a look.

Some guys just have a nose for the rock. This kid is one of them. Another NC State rebounding fool just like JJ Hickson. They must grow them there.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
