Are you done making moves? – Candice/The Columbian

    “We’re done.” - Olshey

The Blazers have a full 15 man roster and no moves are planned: LA, Dame, Batum, Wes, Lopez, Mo, Wright, TReb, CJ, Claver, Leonard, Freeland, Barton, Crabbe, Watson

Side note: I’ve heard TRob, and TRex, but TReb should clearly be Mr.Robinson's nickname. Kid can get boards.

So what do we have to look forward to? Well, Portland ended the season with a starting core that could compete with any starting 5 in the NBA. And now?

    Added a legit starting Center!!!

Robin Lopez: size, offensive rebounding, and coming off a career year starting all 82 games.

    Six legit starters.

Dame, Wes, Batum, LA, Lopez, Mo

    Added a BENCH!!!

Mo, Wright, CJ, Watson, Crabbe (pre-existing condition bench that remained: Barton, Claver, Leonard, Freeland)

    A legit 7-9 man play-off rotation.

LA, Dame, Batum, Wes, Lopez, Mo, Wright, TRob, CJ

    Added a Sixth man.

Mo Williams. We thought it was CJ, then Wright... and then came August and that schmexy Room Exception everyone had all but given up on. If you haven’t seen this interview, giddy up. It’s Mo's Portland Press conference.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy0OyyB-oXE

He knows his role, played for Stotts in Milwaukee, has known Olshey before he entered the NBA and from LAC, wants to win in Portland, chose Portland over Miami and Memphis, appreciates a sold-out home arena, wants to mentor, and can play like a champ on the road and in the playoffs!!! We know he can play in the Rose Garden: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z9B1jhJyGc

Lots of Flexibility for Stotts to mix and match.

    Dame PG/SG Mo PG/SG CJ PG/SG

    Wes SG/SF Batum SG/SF/PF

    TReb PF/C LA PF/C Claver SF/PF

*If Steph Curry can shift to SG at times, so can Mo. He punked him in GS last season.

    Added Veteran Leadership.

Wright (3 teams 9 NBA seasons)

Watson (6 teams, 14 NBA seasons)

Mo (5 teams, 11 NBA seasons)

    Attitude.

This team can play for a Western Conference championship. Last year was just hope to make for an interesting season. And they did till they just got wore down playing with 1/2 a team. This season's group of players all have their heads screwed on straight, high BBall IQ, swag, confidence, and a very positive and realistic perspective on what it takes to find success on the court. Lots of good vibes of team > me coming from individual interviews, and I have no reason to believe it was just for show.

This team is long, athletic, can shoots lights out from anywhere, and has a great mix of experience and youth. I love this team!!! They are just a great group of guys that Blazer fans can be proud of. I’m not one for predictions, but this year is gonna be something special. If you call yourself a Blazer fan, and you can’t get excited about this team, it’s time to reassess.

I am EXTREMELY excited for this upcoming season. Looking at how we match-up against the other Top Teams in the West, I don't see how we can be left out of the discussion,  for Teams that can have home court in the playoffs.

After looking at all the rosters I feel we have a better roster and can have a better record than the Houston Rockets, Grizzlies, Nuggets,

The only teams I see that have a high chance of beating us are the Thunder, Clippers, Warriors and maybe the Spurs.

I dont think the clippers will be as a big of a problem for us as they were last year.
I am a fan of our new roster playing with and for eachother.

And we play them 2 times in Portland.  When Chris Paul says candidly that as Blake goes, so goes the Clippers, I have no doubt why they are a 1 and done playoff team.  LAC has become the new pool for the "cool kids" to play in trying to with a ring.  I don't like the chemistry.  I see must greater success coming outta the Rose City!!!  Ok, maybe not, but time will tell. lol

The only problem is no one on our team has any success, including our new additions, next season thats what we need..

I am a fan of Victor Claver Psyching out his weak minded defenders.

Well, Terry Stotts won a championship for one. Neil Olshey turned the joke of the NBA into a contender in the West in LA. LaMarcus has been a back to back allstar and Damian broke NBA records as a rookie getting ROY as well as sweeping the rookie of the month awards. That's some success in my book!

Not to beat my love for the August surprise... BUT,

    Mo Williams

2008-2009  postseason started 14 of 14 games with Cavs:

    Per game avg:        38.6 MPG  .408 FG%   .372  3PT%   3.2 reb  4.1 ast  16.3 pts

2009-20010  postseason started 11 or 11 games with Cavs:

    Per game avg:         37.4 MPG  .435 FG%   .364  3PT%   3.1 reb  5.4 ast  14.4 pts

2011-2012 postseason played 11 games with LAC:

    Per game avg:         20.8 MPG   .436 FG%   .364  3PT%   0.8 reb  1.4 ast   9.6 pts

Looks like an Eastern Conference Finals and two 2nd round appearaces to me.  Comparatively speaking to Portland's success in the playoffs recently, I'd say that qualifies as "some success" as well. ; )

You took the words right outta my mouth.  I regretted not typing it, and again pounded my keyboard at the inexplicable absence of an edit button.

Excited to see where this group goes this year, I would like to see a more experienced and athletic center that could do the dirty work, but I am happy to see what Robin Lopez does. He is a key factor, on how selfish or unselfish he wants to be this year. And Meyers needs to grow this year in a huge way. That is my only worried position. The rest of the positions and team look golden, probably the best starter back-up combos in the league in my opinion. Another impressive fact is the bench has the potential to be the top productive bench in the league with the talents of Mo, CJ, Wright, and Robinson! The only other bench close would be the Nets, Knicks, or Indiana.
I am a fan of working hard, get results.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
