The real key to a 50 win season is how well we can do at home. If we win 30 games at home, we can get 50 wins overall. I don't think it impossible to win 10 or 11 of our 15 home games against Eastern conference teams either. That will put us in great position to get 50 wins and go after a 6th seed.

I don't know if that is necessarily true or not, but I do know that road wins are the best indicator for Playoff success.

20 road wins would be impressive for such a young team.

I think the road is the difference, the Rose Garden I'm less worried about but  winning on the road and destroying the bottom feeding teams, splitting the season with the elite and winning the division are my hopes for the upcoming season but it's awfully nice to sweep the Wolves and the Lakers while I'm dreaming here.

We have to take care of our business at home, simple as that. Defending home court in the regular season and the postseason is key.

Going into this summer, I figured we'd be fighting off those pesky Timberwolves for last place in the division once again. But now with a fresh package of Blazers arriving soon, I'm figuring we can get 3rd place with ease.

Utah lost both their main big guys, while they are banking their 1st round pick Trey Burke can have at least somewhat of a Damian type of season.

Then you got Minnesota hanging onto frayed yarn like a kitten jacked up on mountain dew. Something will snap eventually, and they'll have to start it all over again.

The Nuggets are still tough. They are still loaded with big huge guys that can really play, and most all teams will find it a tough go around the glass.

OKC is still surfing the wave of bad energy they used to steal the Sonics. Evil can be a powerful force in the NBA, so I still expect them to lead the division.

I definitely expect OKC to lead again. Minnesota will probably take two healthy seasons to finally play to their potential, but I think a lot of the players' contracts will be up at that point.

I don't even know what "somewhat of a Damian type of season" even means... so he'll win all but one Rookie of the Month award, get all but 5 Rookie of the Year votes, be mentioned in the same sentence as Allen Iverson but not Oscar Robertson, and be second in total minutes played? Or do you just mean he'll probably average more than 10 and 5 on the season? Lol.

I really think Denver is a team of athletes and tough competitive players, but, without George Karl to make them into a real basketball team, they will be a complete mess this year.

I'm change my WC predictions to be even more positive following the Mo Williams pickup:

    1. SA

    2. OKC

    3. LAC

    4. GS

    5. POR

    6. HOU

    7. MEM

    8. MIN

And now there's actually a chance to get to the second round.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
