Looks like Marcus Camby is getting dumped by Toronto, your thoughts to being him own to mentor Myers and Lopez and get some minutes.  Think we have enough CAP Space to get him.  I am not the expert.

Raptors to buy out Marcus Camby's contract:

The Toronto Raptors are expected to negotiate a buyout with veteran center Marcus Camby of the final two years, $7.5 million of his contract, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

Camby didn't get dumped, he demanded a trade. He'd be a good pickup but said when he demanded a trade he didn't want to mentor or go to a team rebuilding, he wants a ring. I'd take a run a Dalembert or Brandon Wright for the same money and a lot younger legs.

    Hahaha! NO DAYS OFFFFF!

Javale actually needs someone like Marcus to mentor him. Maybe Denver will be a good landing place for him.

I would love to see Camby back, but I don't see it happening. I'm surprised he didn't end up retiring from NY. End it with the team that drafted him... Hm. Maybe he wants to back up Howard in Houston where he's from. Toronto could get Asik for him and someone else.

First Prz is a Free Agent.  I would love to see Portland either bring him in on a Vet Min contract ar the big mans coach.  He is tough and knows all the tricks of the NBA.

Now question, I am sort of confused, most of us agreed that Jermaine O'Neal would be a good option to bring back as a mentor for Myers and now Lopez.  So what is the difference between him and Camby?  Give Camby a veterans minimum contract (two year, club option) with some team bonuses.

Pryz would be a great big man coach but again, Camby doesn't want to be a mentor anymore or go anywhere he can't get a ring now, his window is closing for getting one. He adamantly stated this when he was traded to Toronto, the role they offered him was similar to the one we would except more money. He won't play here because he just simply doesn't want to. Joel can't play anymore. He's just too slow to play the NBA pace. The Bucks were his last gasp. To bring him back would be for nostalgia...Jeffries would be a better option than Joel. Or DeJuan Blair or Brandon Wright would be ok..Lou Amundsen is still unsigned and he's a great role player. Begs the question, is our big man coach good enough now?

Thanks, I looked up his stats and he only really had one good season in the ABA/NBA and that was his first.  See the link below.

Wouldn't make more sense to hire someone who has more recent and relevant NBA experience?  Like Prz?

Prz reminds me of Lambeer in stly of play except Prz does not whine.

Pryz coach, possibility. No idea if he would be good or not. And BlazerManiac, the difference is that Jermaine can play more than 10 minutes a game without crumbling to dust. He is also still solid, putting up 15 and 10 per 36, compared to Camby's 6 and 11.

Houston signed Camby. Not sure why except to do him a favor. Maybe injury insurance for Dwight (of course if they keep Asik they don't need that either).

I don't think Camby will be getting much playing time unless Dwight or Asik get injured.
