Now that George Karl has been fired by the Denver Nuggets, he has become a strong candidate to replace former Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro along with Indiana Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw, according to two NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. Clippers owner Donald Sterling really likes Karl, one executive said. Sterling likes the idea that Karl was named the NBA’s coach of the year in 2013 for the Nuggets for leading them to a 57-25 record

First their GM bounces and now this. Without Karls tutelage they might be in for a tough year. Thats a good thing for the Blazers.

Look for Denver to undergo a some changes in personel this season. Who can we steal from them ? Wilson Chandler cant stay healthy. Andre wants to start. Mosgov gets no run. JaVale McGee won an Oscar for his appearances in Shaqtin a Fool. Iggy may also be looking to find different real estate. That leaves them With Ty Lawson, Danillo, Kosta Koufas and Faried and maybe Corey Brewer.

I think so siccolo. Id love for JJ to take less money and come off the bench behind L.A.. No one has shown him as much love as we have. I hope that counts for something.

I think Dre is a legit starter. One of the best passers in the league, definitely the smartest player right now.

Firing a coach who wants an extension is dumb especially if he is the reining coach of the year. Let the man finish his deal and then do not resign him. I seriously doubt they will find someone better this summer. Jeff and Stan Van Gundy are options, as is Jerry Sloan, maybe a Phil Jackson GM Brain Shaw Coach combo but I seriously doubt they get any of those coaches.

I am predicting them signing Mike Malone.

They didn't wanna give him an extension, working the last year with no extension, karl would've likely been distracted by his concern for an extension, coaches come and go in the nba.nuggets won 57 games last year and lost in the first round that's not really good you guys. Obviously the talent on the court is still there and that's what matters most,we should worry about our own teams direction. It says a lot about where our team is that were thinking about other teams getting worse rather then our team getting better. They won 57 games we won 33,you know they aren't concerned with us,so why be concerned with them.george karl doesn't make a 24 game difference

What we need most is a rim protector or three.  J. Magee and Faried are both excellent defenders. Cherry pick both of them for our number 10 pick and a couple of bench players and LET'S MAKE A DEAL!

I think I would throw in JJ even.  Sign and trade deal.  Faried and JMcG easily replace his production and definitely improve our interior defense and rebounding.

Patience you must have my young Padawan. I haven't been a Blazer fan as long as you so it's not irritating for me. I'm currently in a love/hate relationship with the offseason. Excited to see what happens. Hoping for something good obviously. Another 50 win season maybe? CJ McCollum maybe? Don't want to draft another centre, already have a young centre project.

I never felt bad when my cousins come to me and talk about how their Lakers were so injured this year. We won 50 games two straight seasons with OUR whole team (including our coach) injured! Can't dwell on the past now, we gotta get back to that then work from there.

What are you smoking? We are not even close to the level of laughing stock as the Wizards! So lets just calm down about the whole Faried thing. Basketball is also a business and as much as I don't like how the Faried situation was handled, that's unfortunately how businesses often handle things. But in regards to Blasers comments on Faried, even if Faried didn't become all that he is right now with the Nuggets, he is twice the player that Nolan is right now. Nolan Smith just might be my biggest let down of the last 5 drafts.

Honestly we are kinda getting there, watch last season? Wizards beat us both times, including their first win when they were the only winless team, maybe the mediocrity is cool to you but in my day we were rivals with the lakers,I could wear my blazer getups proud here in los angeles and laker fans would take not,now we are a lot closer to the wizards then lakers and if you are cool with that then fine but I aint
