I cannot belive how they treated this guy.  He was the go to guy to keep these guys healthy.  He was following order of Doctor's in players treatment.

This guy bled Blazer black and red.

If there should be anyone who should be a scape goat put it on the person's responsible for drafting people who injury issues.  Or better yet, sue the Doctor's who ordered the players treatment.

Olshey showed no class in this one.

YOU CAN'T BURY BLAZERS TRAINER JAY JENSEN THAT EASILY
    By Ben Golliver

Portland Trail Blazers executives enjoyed a major photo opportunity this weekend but that shouldn't distract from a major piece of news that came out late Friday afternoon.

Outside of Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and a few other scattered holidays, there's no better time to bury bad news. By 5:00 p.m. Pacific, most of the country's cubicles are empty or emptying, many media members have already called it a week, and you can be certain that there will be another newer, fresher story, or two, or three, or four, by the time Monday morning rolls around. Tiger won, did you hear? Barbara Walters is retiring. Remember that time she slowly asked questions? That was great. The Portland Trail Blazers gave a jersey to the Dalai Lama! O.M.G., how cool!
Sorry, you can't bury Jay Jensen that easily...

In case you missed it this weekend: Jensen, the Blazers' trainer who took more heat over the last five years than everyone associated with the organization outside of Paul Allen, Greg Oden, Larry Miller and Raymond Felton, no longer works for the team after 19 years...

Jensen isn't Mother Teresa, or a saint, or a Lama. Complaints about him and his work occupied, I would guess, more than 200 working hours of my life. But this is a guy who put nearly two decades into an organization and spent three solid years in the crosshairs as Oden and Brandon Roy crumbled. He deserved better than what he received at the end...

This article is a joke, I do not care if Jensen was great at his job, this team had way to many injury issues for him to not take responsibility. Hiding Webster's injury from the Wolves, Oden and Roy being out of the league right now, plus all the injuries to Batum, LA and many others he has to take responsibility for that.

Coaches get fired when the team fails to win, General Managers as well, when a team has a lot of injuries then I think it is time to fire the trainer. The Blazers did that and provided the stay away from Colorado doctors as well then this team will be just fine.

I would say he deserved a better good bye but I still believe firing him was not a bad decision.

I agree with you cmeese not saying he isn't good at his job but, under his watch there were more injured players that healthy ones especially in the last couple years, Injuries are part of the game but, if Phoenix and other teams can keep their players on the court most of the season than I don't see why we couldn't do that, Jay didn't show that so a change was needed.

I remember when people said that the Blazers were gonna rule the west with Roy, Oden and LMA. They would be what OKC is today.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

Cmeese, BUUUUUURRRRNNNN! Nice. There are only three teams I like in the NBA. Rip City, obviously. Spurs, got mad respect for Timmy and Pop and Manu. And the Grit and Grind, no Bullsh*t real tough basketball of the Memphis Grizzlies (My second favourite team).

Denver is okay because the really play as a team and they have Dre.

GSW I don't really like but I love Klay Thompson. He would really be perfect for Rip City. Is a lights out shooter, and an excellent defender. He used to be so garbage on D, and now he is so very very good. Gives me hope for Dame.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

Great player, but short fuse. His temper makes him to silly silly things. And not the best decision maker. All that can improve though, he just has to want it to.

I hated when people would say they would be better without Westbrook, and this series proves that they need him, because with him they would make it to the Championships.
