For years I've wanted something many other sports have in basketball. A senior league. 3 on 3 halfcourt retired NBA player seniors league to be the opening act for every regular season game. Tennis has great success with it and so does golf. Old guys can't run full court anymore but can play half court. Good for the fans, good for the game. I'm sure Malone, Rodman, Pippen, Alajuwon and lots of seniors would support it. Like beach volleyball, 3 sets best of 21 pts. 1 pt a hoop. No 3 pt shot, no 3 sec rule. Rope a dope, Harlem Globetrotter humor, 1 ref who doesn't call anything unless it's obvious. Every franchise could have a seniors team.

Nah man. Seems weird. Basketball doesn't need an opener. I think some guys would find it humiliating.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

It wouldn't have to be before a regular season game, it could be it's own entity or be played during summer when there's not much going on (sorry WNBA) or from draft day until the summer league. Guys like Iverson would have a forum to entertain and still be playing a game they love. The tennis seniors tour is great to watch. No 5 set 3 hour games. Lots of laughing. McEnroe, Borg, Sampras, Agassi, Wilander, all play the seniors tour. New crop of NBA seniors would have guys like Nash, Sheed, Garnett, Shaq etc...guys who just don't have the bodies to play full court anymore. At any rate it's more basketball and I'm all for it. If the NBA wants to generate more income, it's an idea that would probably take off.

I think it would be pretty entertaining plus you gotta think them old timers probably get bored as hell after there careers are over if they don't get into coaching

Yeah, I like that. During the offseason. I meant humiliating, because of guys like Iverson. He considered himself the best and to be a warm up for the NBA, wouldn't be very nice. But I like that offseason thing. Wanna see if Sheed and Garnett are still as intense.

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
