    I dont think we will keep our pick anyways. I think there is a strong chance we trade it for Utahs 14 and 21, because Jazz really want a PG and MCW might not be there at 14.

    I think a good realistic offseason can go like this :

    Trade the number 10 pick for 14th and 21st

    Trade the 14th and a Second rounder for Javale Mcgee

    Number of options at 21- Adams, Whitey, Gobert, Mitchell

    Use second rounders to draft pick up someone good lol

    Sign Dejuan Blair, Sign Papanikolau, Sign Maynor, Sign Joel to teach Mcgee and Leonard

    Lillard/Maynor

    Wes/Barton

    Batum/Claver/Papanikolau

    Lamarcus/Blair

    Mcgee/Leonard/Pryzbilla

    This is without any draft picks!

    I think goberts upside could  be huge but his rookie year will mimic leonards and we all know you don't like that so why would you wanna draft him? he isn't totally nba ready he'll take a few seasons

    I do not think McCollum will be anywhere close to Lillard he is not nearly as athletic so he will have to dominate as a jump shooter

    McCollum will be instant offense. If he could attack the rim and get to the free throw line more than Maynor and Wes he would really be a great pick up. It's well documented that our bench is nothing short of torrid. Look at the improvement the Warriors had this year after adding solid bench players to their rotation. Landry and Jack really held that second unit together.

    Playing Mccolum and Lillard at the same time will light opposing guards eyes up! Offense wouldnt be an issue, but if we dont have some big men then we would continue to give up large 100+ a game. We would need some big men that will hack and block the mess out of opposing guards. Playing Mccollum and Maynor will be the same story. I would be happy with drafting Cj because I think there is a high chance of his being the best scorer out this class but will be a risky pick.

    idk I think the whole idea of olshey saying he's likley gonna use one or more of the picks for a center is to not overload the team with alot of inexperienced players we already got 5 and 4 of them are still learning to be productive in the nba

    Having rookies is not necessarily a bad thing we just need rookies that are starting caliber not bit role players like Claver, Barton, and Freeland were.

    Which is exactly why we need to go after more mature players in this draft. Guys who are ready to step into the rotation and do everything they can for the team. McCollum has spent 3 full years refining his game in college and has shown that he is a good efficient scorer.

    He could be a combo guard and when Lillard leaves the floor we could leave Batum to handle the ball more. He showed his improved passing and playmaking this season before the All-star break. Second unit could be Mcollum, Allen/Foye (whoever we can get), Batum, LA and Leonard. I know LA and Batum are starters, but we need continuity when some of our guys go to the bench. If we keep Hickson, he would obviously fill in that PF role from the bench. His effort off the bench would be better served than his current contribution at starting Center.

    I am not sure McCollum is the answer. Before this year McCollum was around a 36% shooter from 18+ feet, since he is not very athletic or quick for a guard these numbers need to stay closer to the 50% mark he posted this season for him to really succeed. He is a good ball handler, he has good body control and a willingness to accept contact. As a SG which is his likely position at the next level McCollum will struggle on defense he has a hard time with quicker or taller players both of which he will face often at the next level. He is however, a good rebounder and will force turnovers by being aggressive in the passing lanes.

    If he can emulate Andre Miller with a better jumper then he will be a success. Just kind of seems like a big risk for this team right now.

    I think the injury really compromised his already lacking athleticism. However, I think he is a better fit for the Blazers than shabbazz Muhammed and some of the other guards projected to go around the 10th pick. If we don't go after McCollum then we should draft Mason Plumlee who could fill in as the back up PF. He was a decent defender and also spent 3 years in college so his game would be more refined than a number of the other bigs coming out this year.

    How is Shabazz not a good fit he is a terrific rebounder, can score in bunches, has good range and will be a much better defender than McCollum. The reason Shabazz is getting blasted is he is a little cocky and a little too ball dominant also he is not the elite athlete they thought he was when the Kobe comparisons started.

    shabazz is a bust guy, watch his game and compare it to nba, mccollum or dieng is the one we should draft. mccollum is damian lillard, remember we thought damian wouldn't pass the ball and thought his game will be tough because he play at lower division, mccollum have the same question now, we just need to draft him. i like dieng because he spend 3 or 4 years in college and was a defense force in champ game, he seem to be serge ibaka at best but camby at worst, so why not draft him

    I never thought Lillard would not pass he just had no one to pass to in college. I on the other hand am not convinced McCollum can thrive as a jump shooter at the next level. I hope he can cause he seems like a nice kid but still not convinced yet.

    Mccollum averaged 2.1 assts to Lillard 4 assts (senior years)

    Mccollum plays mostly at the SG position but e is too small to defend NBA SGs. Unless Damians Defense just turns elite after his Gary Payton lessons, than Guards will KILL us . I want a SG that can be paired with Damian for years.

    if shabazz is on the board @ the 10th spot you grab him simple as that mccollum at best has an upside to be a strong role player while shabazz could potentially be a star plus he is the second best player in the draft @ crashing the offensive glass something we really lacked this year and runs is great in transition plus his defensive was pretty solid he blocks shots and grabs steals pretty well but he needs to learn to crash the boards on defensive overall I think he's gonna have a better rookie year then mccollum will only thing with shabazz though is he's a high risk high reward type of guy his off court actions have really played a huge part in why he dropped so far

    Shabbazz is more a SF than SG. He could be trusted to guard opposition SGs. With Batum still a blazer, I think Shabbazz will be relegated to a role on the bench. He would be great for our second unit and is going to be an instant upgrade over Claver. Claver will improve and had glimpses of being a good player at times during this year.

    However, we need a scoring guard off the bench. Jack, Martin and last year Harden showed how important a bench scorer is in order to push a team toward the playoffs. If Shabbazz can be an efficient scorer and can attack the basket and also crash the glass like he did in college then I would gladly take him. If he's on the board at 10, then we should take him. If not, then take CJ.

    Yeah, but we need to trade him or the pick to get a rim protector, we have a few guys might become decent bench scorers, but no rim protection.

    Haven't had the opportunity to watch Shabbazz much, particularly late in the season, however...as I've written here previously, if the young man has not developed any right hand, his stock will slip drastically and he'll likely become a draft day bust.  The NBA is basketball at the highest level.  Anyone remember Armon Johnson?  Great slasher, decent handles, impressive finisher at the rim and a competitive spirit rivaled by few.  Big, strong, athletic scoring PG and good, aggressive defender.  Unfortunately, it didn't take the league long to figure out the guy went left every time.  Where is AJ now?

    For me personally, if Aldridge is in this team's long term plans, a tough rebounding 5 with, as RipCity14 says, rim protecting abilities and a guy that is a threat to score in the post would be my first priority.  Changing a personality is far different that developing skills on the floor, thus I don't believe Leonard will ever be an adequate compliment to LaMarcus.

    You know someone who never worked on their opposite hand? Someone who was kind of a diva? A terrible practice player and yet they sit in the hall of fame.

    His name is Clyde Drexler. Muhammad is not as athletically gifted as Clyde was but he seems to have a much better work ethic.

    Furthermore, has anyone watched Shabazz play his style is actually perfect for the NBA. He does not score off of pick and roll or on iso. That right there should alleviate any concern about his off hand dribbling. What Shabazz does is runs the floor well, especially on fast breaks, moves without the ball, posts up and loves to bang the glass on offense. He has the tools to be a good defender at the next level. He is probably better suited as a SF with his play style but could easily play SG as well.  On defense because his lateral quickness is not great he will need to probably guard SF's but he is long enough 6'11 1/2" reach and strong enough to succeed.

    He needs to be more unselfish with the ball and I expect him to do so at the next level. Also he will need to work on his perimeter jumper, which is pretty good right now but will need to improve for him to succeed at NBA 3 point range. Lastly, he needs to remain engaged, like Batum if his shots are not falling he tends to hang his head at times and loses focus on defense.

    Shabazz can and will give you 15-18 points per game and at least 5 rebounds. The question is can he be focused on defense the whole game, will he pass at the next level and can he improve his jump shot enough to be a threat from deep. If he can do all of these things then expect him to have multiple all star selections if not expect him to be Cory Maggette.

    Ive said all season that we need a real pivot.We've all said it. Ive watched Shabazz and he's talented,but is he an assassin ? And i agree with BDawg,whoever we get,its definitely a plus if he is as ambidextrous as Roy was,and as Lillard is now.

    I'm thinking Olshey is gonna make an offer for Deandre Jordan, they have a past with Olshey previously working with the Clipps and they have been playing him like 20 min a game because of his free throw woes. This makes me think he could be expendable to them unless those 20 min are too valuable, but their GM has to understand that while they are very good some times incredible they will not be able to beat the Heat or even the Thunder in 7 which means they should be thinking we have to clear cap space for either this year or the following one. Deandre like Javale does not play a whole lot but I think Javale's lack of playing time has to do with more team chemistry and other players playing well and Deandre's lack of playing time is because of being a liability late in games and the Clipps want shooters out bringing in Lamar. I would probably chose getting Javale over Deandre like Siccolo said but I do not see the Nuggets doing so and the Clippers might give up Deandre for our pick, maybe a 2015 pick, and so they can clear cap space. And we sign our remainding cash on Blair, Eric Maynor and I hope Elliot Williams if we have enough cash. And we hope guys like Meyers, Will, and Victor grow a lot.

    And I'd really pass on Shabazz if the pick is kept. I understand he has upside and while it is tempting at the thought that he could materialize his lack of sharing the ball makes me nervous. I'd go center here, probably Gobert.

    I forget where I saw this but a comparison was made between our starting lineup and the '04 Pistons who won a championship.

    Damian=Chauncey

    Wes=Rip

    Nic=Tayshaun

    Lamarcus=Rasheed

    ?=Ben

    Who is going to be our Okur or Williamson. Plus where the hell are you going to find a multiple time defensive player of the year? I mean not a single Piston had a defensive rating over 100 in the playoffs, which is amazing and Ben Wallace posted a crazy 84.

    That year Detroit had 2 players with over 100 defensive rating and only Chucky Atkins actually saw minutes. Our Defensive rating leader was JJ Hickson with a robust 106, which just shows how bad our help defense is when one of our worst defender is the leader.
