Marcin Gortat is a perfect fit for us right in his prime doesnt have the best D but he can improve. he would fit good right next too la , and Lillard could run alot of pick and rolls with him like nash when he was in PHX .  what would it take too get him ? sign & trade hickson , jeffries(expiring contract) palvoic(expiring contract) too phx . backup SG/ Free Agent Nick Young, Oj Mayo, Tony Allen, Lance Stephenson, jj redick, Treke Evans, Wes Johnson, Randy Foye. one of thoses guys would be perfect too either come off the bench or start alongside lillard and batum id prolly go with Lance Stephenson(cheap) or Nick Young(instant O) then as for Eric Maynor 3 yrs 5 million. back up PF dante cunningham too a 2 yr 3 million as far as our 12th pick(best player on the board) or trade down(franklin) San diego state. so our roster next year would look something like this. bring matthews off the bench to give our bench some scoring.

    1. lillard/maynor/FA

    2.Stephenson/matthews/barton

    3.batum/clavor/franklin

    4.la/cunningham/freeland

    5.gortat/lenoard/FA

what do you think blazer nation ?

    3.batum/clavor/2 round pick

Phoenix will trade Gortat but to free up cap room so they won't want JJ in return

Lance Stevenson ? If thats the kid from my hometown NYC, snatch him if you can. As for Gortat, i like that cat but id still prefer Timofey Mosgov.http://youtu.be/pe1TWI6nq_0. A 25 year old 7 footer with size and skill, and something to prove since he's just been marinating on Denver's bench. Last but not least is Mr. JJ Redick. That kid catching dimes from Lillard would be dangerous. Talk about having to play Lillard honest, Reddick will light that a#! up.

    Beast squad:Lillard,Reddick,Batum,L.A. Mogov

Matthews is a more dangerous shooter than Redick

Mozgov is a quesion mark to me.....Theres a chance he can be a great center...but I dont know hes not getting ANY minutes...If George Karl saw something in him he would have gave him some minutes...

If we can get Gortat for some of the offers that I am hearing then pull the trigger......

Reddick will cost too much in my opinion. I dont think we need more 3pt shooters.

More three point shootersimplies that we in fact have a consistent one. We do not. Wesley is one hell of a sreak shooter yes,but he's also called upon to chase the best opposing guards all night. Its alot tougher to find the legs for jumpers when you're fatigued. Lillard got  a well needed rest with the addition of Mayno. Wesley could stand some of that. Batum could stand some of that. Lets just say its not Reddick that we get,who out there is available to be the offense to Wesleys defense ? Tony Allen would definitely be the business also, but i dont think he leaves Memphis.

Redick is a great shooter and he was good this year as a 6th man on a squad that was in real turmoil. What made him good on the Magic team was the fact that he got open looks when Howard was working the post and getting double teamed.

I don't think we need more shooters. I agree we need a solid defensive Center to provide weak side help and rebounding. In the western conference, rebounding is key so going after Gortat would be a good idea. Hickson is good and I like him a lot, I just think he's a poor defender and we cant have that. 10.7 rebounds a night looks great on paper, but his plus/minus takes that right away.

I say we draft a strong wing man like Shabbaz Muhammad or a scoring sixth man like CJ McCollum and go after Gortat and trade hickson back to Cleveland for Tristan Thompson who is still in his rookie contract and will be a good back-up PF. He's really improved this year and plays well near the basket but can knock down open jumpers.

That funny people think that Cleveland is gonna trade Tristan Thompson they are not gonna give him away he's apart of their core so why would Cleveland want Hickson back Thompson has a better upside and the important thing he's cheaper.

It was just a suggestion. JJ was a Cav before and now that he's a bit more mature and has shown how good he can be, he may be able to help that young core of Irving and Waiters. I don't see them trading Varejao or Speights so they could use front court help. A solid PF who will give effort and hustle. JJ is more suited to playing in the eastern conference anyway.

Again, Thompson is a young big who could be a solid back up to LA and could even hold that position in games while LA slides over to the 5 if we want to play small. His upside is what attracts me to the idea of seeing him in Rip City learning from the games best PF. And he wont dent our cap space. We could even throw a 2nd round pick in there to sweeten the deal.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
