Trail Blazers (33-39) At Warriors (41-32)

    What To Watch For

    Lillard Returns Home
Who says you can't go home again? Back on January 11th, Damian Lillard returned home to Oakland as the Trail Blazers faced the Warriors and had a banner night, posting career-highs in points (37), field goals made (15), field goals attempted 25), 3-pointers made (7), and 3-pointers attempted (12). Portland fell 103-97 to Golden State as Lillard was the only Blazer who had it stuck on automatic; The rest of his teammates shot just 20-62. Even coming off of a loss to Utah on Friday, expect Dame to be ready for his second homecoming of the season. Golden State is a fantastic offensive team, but they don't have any defensive stoppers on their roster. Steph Curry and Jarrett Jack just don't posses the lateral quickness or strength to stop an aggressive Lillard. I'm not saying Dame will set a new career-high, but without LaMarcus Aldridge, who won't travel with the team on this two-game road trip (ankle), look for Lillard to be assertive right from the get-go. Also, look for Coach Stotts to play Maynor with Lillard on the court at the same time to give the Trail Blazers another ball-handler and decision maker out there in case Golden State decides to throw the kitchen sink at Dame.

    Rookie Development
With LA out, watch Meyers Leonard, Joel Freeland, and Victor Claver closely. Against Utah, all three saw plenty of crunch time minutes and each showed flashes of brilliance. Meyers continues to show a soft touch around the rim and how about Victor's show and go on the fast break against Paul Millsap? I didn't think he had that in his repertoire, but that's what these final 10 games are going to be about. The postseason is pretty unlikely at this point, but that doesn't mean there's not a reason to watch. We have one of the youngest rosters in the league and we need to find out what we got. Over the final 10 games, the Trail Blazers will face off against teams with an average winning percentage of .580 -- highest in the NBA. These are teams gearing up for the playoffs and won't take Portland lightly. Look at Meyers. Does he stay grounded on defense more often or will he continue to fall for the veteran pump fakes? Will he look for his shot a little more in the offensive sets? As for Victor, really keep an eye on his shooting. We know he's an intelligent basketball player with a high IQ and he has sneaky athleticism, but his outside shot is a bit inconsistent. He has great form so in my opinion, it's only a matter of time before that shot becomes money in the bank.

wow you give up on players quickly dude has gotten less then 8 minutes a game how can you expect a player to show his worth with them garbage minutes and personally I never thought barton was gonna be anything special his first season anywayz think freeland hasn't even really had much of a chance to show anything at all this season

I think Freelands had his chances and hasnt made the best out of his opportunities. Stotts knows more than all us and during training camp many thought Freeland could actually start at C for us, but he couldnt beat out Hickson. And in the process, he couldnt  show that he deserved consistent playing time.

I liked his game and I would be mad if he got minutes, but my expectations are much much lower than they were previously.

He got a 3? Was it like a halfcourt or a regular 3?

Top of the arc shot clock running down, Batum inbounded to Meyers and he hit it.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
