Here is a list of some quality players who are likely to be overlooked in the draft meaning they could end up as second round steals.

    1. Tony Mitchell- Once a lottery lock he has dropped a lot as his perimeter shot left him this year and his team under achieved. He won't make it to 40 but if he manages to slip out of the first round Portland should immediately move up to get him.

    2. Jamaal Franklin- His fg% and offensive game is not fantastic. But he is a monster defensively, he has great footwork and strength, which was evident watching him guard PF's at times. His rebounding for a 6'5 guard is off the charts. He is the epitome of a high upside second round pick.

    3. Michael Snaer- he is not going to wow anyone at the next level but he has good touch from 3 point range and is a very solid defender capable of guarding the 1 and 2. If he can emulate Bowen or Sefolosha then he will have a very long career. Well worth a second round flyer.

    4. Richard Howell- he is this drafts version of Reggie Evans a tough banger who is a little undersized but won't back down. He will give any team some energy, defense, rebounding and hard fouls right away.

    5. Trevor Mbakwe- age will be a concern as he is 24 but he will be a solid second round pick. His explosiveness is coming back after a 2012 ACL injury and he is a tough defender and rebounder. He is also a willing banger in the post. He could a similar player to Evans or Hickson with better defense.

Here is a list of 5 players that will make everyone question why this class rated so poorly.

    1. Marcus Smart- He is a great 2 way player already but needs to get more efficient on offense. The comparisons to Harden are not out of line. With Nelrens Noel injured, Smart would be a Smart choice for the number one overall pick as he has much better upside than McLemore in my opinion.

    2. Otto Porter- While the Hoyas might have tanked in the tourney Porter will bounce back. He is the most NBA SF in the draft and should be ready to come in a start filling up the stat sheet. He looks like the next Prince or Batum.

    3. Victor Oladipo- Last year at the time he was a potential Tony Allen, this year he is a national player of the year contender. His energy and shooting percentages were off the chart.  His defensive is still top notch but now he has the potential to be a 12-15 point per game scorer in the NBA. He is Wesley Matthews right now with higher upside.

    4. Shabazz Muhammad- Lefty acts like a superstar and has the ability to be one. He will score right away at the next level but the question remains what kind of player he will become. With his ability and will to win he could become the next Kobe Bryant he could also just be the next Kevin Martin a one dimensional scorer.

    5. Giannis Adetokunbo- He will not make the transition to the NBA next season but he remains the most intriguing International player in the draft for me above more note worthy names like Gobert and Saric. He is 6-9 and has a 7'3 wing span he is very adept ball handler and can play multiple positions. His defensive footwork and jumper need some work but at 18 he will have plenty of time to develop.

I want Anthony Bennett. Here is a lineup I'd want to see:

    Lillard/Maynor/2nd round

Batum/Wes/Barton/Elliot if affordable if not someone experienced

Aldridge/Jj if affordable if not someone like Blair would have to due

    FA/Meyers/2nd round

That's only 14 roster spots so we got one more for some veteran experience, I don't put Freeland because I'd like to trade him for a second rounder or basically whatever because I hate his salary.

Bennett brings some much needed athleticism, strength, and speed which I think we need. We are far too young to be playing such a slow game. We need to run a lot more. And with Nic at the two our lineup becomes so long, and moving JJ and more importantly Wes to our bench gives us from the worst in the NBA to a top bench in the NBA.

Just for the record it's just Freeland's salary nothing against him or his play because he hasn't had much of a shot.

Only problem with Bennett is his terrible defense he is not fast enough to guard most threes and not tall enough to effectively guard 4's.

Lets try to to get Shabazz Muhammad. he would be a good defensive help for us. Get him waive barton ,backup SG.

Or..Get Burke who has been playing GREAT recently, and waive barton, make him backup

Or....Get Kelly Olynyk, Ganzaga's best player. Trade Hickson for someone like Sanders or Dalembert (any exceptional scorers who can play good defense) Make Olynyk our PF behins Aldridge, make him our sixth man.

Get Blair for a backup center for the guy we trade hickson for,or hickson if we dont trade him.   Trade our later 2nd round pick with Hickson.

    PG:Lillard/Maynor/2nd round

    C:(Dalembert,Sanders)/Blair /Meyers

Shabazz would be a good pickup by Blazers if he fell to 12

I dont think we need Blair and Olynk, both very different players but are best at PF.

    Dalamebert/Meyers is a good frontcourt

Wish we can get a younger athletic version of Dalembert LOL this is very hard because Portlands best fits for centers are

Noel (Be drafted ahead of us)

    Howard (Wont Sign with us)

and Deandre Jordan, Sanders wont be traded

Right now I'm really liking CJ McCollum. He's listed as a point guard at 6'3, which is arguably our most established position on the team, but in all of his draft videos and other films, he thrives from being an off- ball guard which makes him more of an undersized 2. I think he could be a perfect scoring bench player. I do believe this draft will have a couple of surprises, and I do think that one of the top players will slip in the draft, and that might be Anthony Bennett. One other player who is not in the selection area of the blazers who i believe could be a stud is Tim Hardaway Jr. I think he is the prototypical shooting guard and has the only prototypical shooting guard body in the draft other than McLemore. He is in the area of the late first round right now, but trading the two second round picks to move up to get him, or trade the lottery pick for a later pick and a young asset/ veteran wouldnt be a bad idea.

Only problem with Hardaway is he struggles to create his own shots making him more of a spot up shooter or a catch and shoot player at the next level and I am not sure his shot is good enough to do that at a consistent level.

draft mccollum. draft nash and ryan kelly in the 2nd round. that draft give us needed scoring punch off the bench. sign blair to easily a 4year and 4 million per year contract. either sign dalembert to 4 year and 5 million dollars per year. retain maynor. we should also sign chase budinger for 5 year and 1.5 million dollars per year. then waive freeland because we won't need him.

i really like this line up and i think that all of the back up are perfect to our starters. our bench easily become one of the best in the leagues. we become a no. 3 to 6 over summer team like this.

I am a fan of Damian Lilard leading us to a title and MVP to him, LA and MEYERS
