    March 24th, 2013
4:00 PM | Chesapeake Energy Arena | Oklahoma City, OK
Trail Blazers (33-36) At Thunder (51-19)

    What To Watch For

Keep The Thunder Off The Line
The Thunder are already an elite team and they'll be playing at home where they sport an impressive 30-5 record. So if you're Portland, you can't make life any easier on OKC and put them at the line. Oklahoma City gets to the free-throw line more than any team in the entire NBA, as they attempt 27.5 free-throws per game. And it all starts with Kevin Durant and Russell Westrbook who each rank in the Top 7 in the league in foul shot attempts. Not only does OKC get to the line frequently, but they convert 82.7% of the time -- tops in the league. Just how important is it for Portland to keep Oklahoma City off the charity stripe? In their 106-92 loss to the Thunder back on November 2nd, the Trail Blazers allowed 32 attempts, but when OKC made the trek to the Pacific Northwest, Portland played tougher, smarter defense and only surrendered 22 freebies. While the Blazers still lost that contest, 87-83, they had their chances to knock off their division rivals in the final minutes.

    Make It Rain In OKC
The Trail Blazers live by the 3 and they die by the 3 a lot of times. And when you're playing an elite squad, on their home court, you're going to need to go big or go home. One way the Trail Blazers can pull off the upset is to get hot from downtown. Portland boasts three of the top six 3-point shooters in the entire NBA in Damian Lillard (157), Nicolas Batum (154) and Wesley Matthews (154). In the two games this year against the Thunder, those three players are shooting a combined 13-39 (33.3%) from distance. That won't cut it Sunday night. If those three can hit a combined nine triples and do so at a 40% clip, Rip City will be celebrating a huge road to close out the final extended trip of the season.

We're on a 2 game win streak. They're tuckered out after a long battle with the Magic on Friday. Wear them down with run and gun action, and let's close the window on this team named after excessive atmospheric friction.

Wes has been playing like a man on a mission the last two games and I get the feeling he wants a post season birth really badly. If we pull off a road win here it will be huge in accomplishing the 9 or 10 wins we need to bump the Lakers off the 8th seed. A must watch game for me! Go Blazers!

I was thinking the same thing BLASER. Not to mention he knows alot of their sets. Could be useful. We havent beat these guys this year and that alone should be motivation enough. Division wins always seem sweeter to me. We also play them one more time.In our house. They lead this seasons series 2-0, id really love to finish it 2-2. Today is my birthday so this win would be huge. Go Rip City !!!!

Thanks Bro. Now if Leonard could muster up the best game of his career,we get this one.Last game he had two fouls. If that means that he's getting smarter,we just got alot more dangerous.

Happy BDay CT the Blazers granted mine and BDawg wish hopefully they grant yours as well I expect Lillard to have a good game since Westbrook is the only elite guard he hasn't had a good game against and I also want to see if this team can keep up the defense they been playing this will be a huge test Go Blazers.

Not yet. Not until we are definitely out of the playoffs. Then give JJ and the bench more minutes.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

We are pretty much out of it 3 games back 12 to go and our schedule is brutal. 1-3 would be great in our 4 road games.

We probably wont win @ GS DEN or LAC and the Jazz is 50/50 at best.

The Nets are no easy win, nor are the Jazz, then Houston, Dallas and Lakers. 3-2 there would be good.

Also got OKC and Golden State.

Basically we need to got 4-1 at home and at least 2-2 on the to have a chance. I could see OKC resting people or flat out tanking on purpose to avoid the Lakers so that should be a win but they are also fighting for home court so if they are close to SA then expect their best if SA locks up #1 expect them to rest. Golden State also could be resting in this game but if they are tied with Houston look for them to try and get the best matchup and that would be Denver over OKC.

    I predict a 5-7 finish

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
