    can someone please argee wit me that jerryd bayless should get more props. steve blake is a vet and proven. but bayless is a scoring point guard and also can dish the rock. and wit the addition of andre miller. jerryd is gonna be dished out .i think he should be our future. someone hit me bak on dis!!!!

    He should get to play more. If we're not carefull we might lose him :(

    We won't lose him if he doesn't play that much this year.  This year if HE isn't focused on learning from Blake and Miller than I don't think the Blazers need the young fella on their roster presently or in the future.  Bayless has been the Man all of his life and he feels the need to become the man here in Portland now rather than later.  But if he just stays patient and picks the skills up that he needs to from his other PGs this season than I think next year Bayless will have a more sufficient role.  Andre Miller will only decline in minutes and production these next two-three years and that is the Blazers plan, to have Andre retire/move on and have Bayless ready to pick up all the responsibility left.  It'll happen, but only if Bayless is mature about the situation.

    Agreed, obviously though I would think that at least he should get some spot up duty every once in a while during the season to help him keep his mind focused on helping the team and not just wondering off on the bench all season....
    I am a fan of the beautiful cohesiveness of my blazers, reminding me of why I've loved this franchise for much of my young life despite being a texan....

    If Bayless doesnt get playing time this year I think he will be upset.  I would really love to see him stay a Blazer, but I think it would be best for his career if he were traded.  I was looking forward to seeing what he could do with some real playing time this season, then we signed Miller.  Miller will be more help than Bayless right now, but I think Bayless can be one of the top PG in the league in a couple seasons if he is given a chance.

    Bayless will get some time, with blowouts and injuries. 

     The bar isn't set for the playoffs this year, it's set for a championship.  As much as I like Bayless' fire,  he isn't ready to be a pg  for a contender yet.
     I hope he keeps his head right, and takes advantage of learning from Blake, Miller and McMillan.

     Imo, the lesson here, keep your head up and watch your teammates.  He won't get off Nate's short leash, until he does.
