Trail Blazers (28-32) At Spurs (48-14)

    What To Watch For

    Playing Without Parker
Some in the media have claimed that San Antonio's Tony Parker should get into the MVP conversation. After all, he has led the Spurs (once again) to the league's best record and has them on course for another deep playoff run. But on March 1st, the Spurs' MVP went down with a really bad ankle sprain, causing him to miss four weeks of action. The Spurs went on to win that game on the first of March against the Kings and the following contest as well -- a 114-175 drubbing of the Pistons. Yet both of those teams have been lottery bound for months now. Although the Trail Blazers' 8-21 road record is nothing to write home about, Portland does have some marquee wins away from home (New York, Memphis, Houston), so this will be San Antonio's first real test without TP. Against Detroit, it was the second-year man out of Texas, Corey Joseph who got the start but Patty Mills and Nando De Colo each played similar amounts. It will be critical for Damian Lillard to own this matchup Friday night. With Parker, the Spurs had the edge, but Lillard should be able to handle his own against the backups, especially considering he's averaging 24.5 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in two games against SA this year.

    Play Smarter, Not Harder
The Spurs are a team that has consistently shot the ball efficiently from the field, free-throw line and from deep. Not to mention, they'll make you pay if you turn the ball over and this year is no different. San Antonio ranks 2nd in FG% (.488), 4th in 3-PT% (.381), 4th in FT% (.788), 5th in total turnovers forced (933), and 6th in Points off Turnovers (1080). As the numbers have shown, the Spurs rarely beat themselves, let alone at home where their 24-3 mark is tied for tops in the NBA. This means that the Trail Blazers must play smart, sound basketball. For Portland to take the season series from the Spurs, they must limit their turnovers, shoot over 45%, get to the line 20+ times and treat this game like a playoff game; every possession counts. In their 112-109 loss to SA back on November 10th, the Blazers gave up 57% shooting and allowed the Spurs 31 trips to the free-throw line. But during their 98-90 win on December 13th, the Blazers held the Spurs to just 45.8% shooting and found a way to take 88 shots compared to their 72. Defense, hustle, efficiency. Those are the three ingredients to a road win!

    Big game!!! Awesome WIN!!!!

I loved this game, i think Batum isnt 100% (he may be hurt) but everybody stepped up, Lillard 2nd half was something to remember, Aldridge and Hickson played well offense and defense, Mathews hit a lot of 3´s, and Maynor also had 20p and 6assist of the bench! Jeffries did a good job to. And even Freeland with just a 3 min, got 6p and 3rb. I hope Leonard and Claver are ok..

I do not think Washington would make the trade proposed by Nuno.  But  it would be nice.  Stay away from Varejao.

As in going to the basket and drawing contact. When he feels like it, god help us all, the man is unstoppable. I love Nico and do not want him to leave at all, but he needs to be more aggressive. Look at Dame. Dude is 6"3 and isn''t afraid to take...

And aren''t you ''sissyfying'' women? We don''t care about the slap, we don''t like what the slap represents. And you can''t have it both ways. (Well I know you can). You want to be true equals to men, take the good and the bad. We don''t dispute ...

Maybe if any of the teams holding one of the top three picks would be interested in #10 plus all of the three second round choices in an effort to add resources.  At least it is worth a shot.  Then  if we could get Oladipo we could go ...

well mccollum looks cool but lillard was a rarity when it comes to small school ballers being successful I don''t see 2 small school ballers 2 drafts in a row especially one comeing from a weak draft being anything spectacular
