What do you guys think of Neil Olshey

    I have done this with Terry Stotts twice, and as the Deadline is near this is the best time for this thread.

    How do you feel about Olshey?

    Did you love him ever since he has got here? Where you impressed and now dissapointed? 

    I was first excited from hearing about the success he has brought for the Clippers... but now I hate him haha

    First he made a mistake drafting Myers Leonard with the 11th Pick

    Also he formed one of the worst benches of all time...

    He is also not making any moves! Our starters are playing 38/40 minutes and he still does nothing.

    Cavs got a Ellington, Speights, Selby for basically nothing

    Phoenix got Morris for a second round pick today

    A lot of talent was out there: Chris Johnson, Shelvin Mack, Scott Machado, CDR, Jeremy Pargo, Chris Anderson, Jerome Jordan 

    Give Olshey a D so far

    Blazers have such bad luck

    I still really like Olshey. He's done what he said he'd do all along. He didn't draft Nolan over Faried or Babbit in the first round. He's had 53 games with a new coach and a bench filled with rookies to evaluate value and half a season is hardly a time frame to judge the man based on what his long term vision is. Typically fans are short term sighted and I get as frustrated as most. I would have picked Leonard at 11. Leonard is 20 years old with only 1 year of real court time in college and his upside is worth developing. We need 3 quality pieces to be in the playoff conversation and we've got some flexibility.

    one season isn't enough time to drop the hammer on a guy plus the idea of the season wasn't to make a playoff run but to evaluate talent for a playoff run in the next couple of seasons so I ain't mad at him for that nobody knew our starters were gonna be this great from day one there was alot of question about batum, mathews, lillard, and hickson

    and leonards got potential to write him off and say he was a bad pick this early in his career is rediculous

    not to be an A hole or anything but I'm not sure y your so high on cdr other then the fact that he led the d league in scoreing witch is like going to a mathlete contest with the smartest retard on your team he has pretty much had a failing nba career 2.6 points a game over a period of 6 games is about the equivilent of what nolan smith or ronnie price gets us honestly I'm not convinced that his game can ever really translate to the nba I guess

    For those who doubt Olshey, he just got us Eric Maynor for basically nothing but a trade exception and rights to Printezis (sp?) Ronnie Price has been waived. I'd say he's doing his job and wisely! I've wanted Maynor for a long time and now we have a bench producer.

    Maynor is a great step towards solidifying our bench. He's going to make it easier for alot of guys.Especially Lillard.

    It's funny how people are quick to judge one day they hate you and the next they love the move you made I know it's hard but, can we give a guy at least a season or two before we give him a job review with that said I'm glad that Olshey got Lillard a quality back up.

    @ CarlJ1, amen!  The fickleness of some of the Blazer fans pisses me off.  Some1 might not b able to do a job but @ least give them enough time to prove that they suck!  Hahaha! ;)  OR give some1 a little time & they'll show u how awesome they r! :)  EITHER way, patience is key & ALL should @ least be given SOME time.

    Thank you. I've said it here since Olshey was hired, I'm a fan of this franchise and this team much more so than any one player or season, and have patience so long as there is quality leadership and direction. I would like to believe I speak for the majority.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
