Hear me out. Jared Jeffries and Nolan Smith have not exceeded or even met expectations as of late. I'd be willing to let go of either one, if the opportunity presented itself to sign Chris. He's a great player defensively and works hard on the glass. Lord knows we need a little help defensively. WIth J.J. still at center and Leonard still developing, Chris would make a solid backup center. We might also be able to sign him for the veteran minimum and save a little cap space.

Just a thought. What do you all think?

First and foremost...welcome to the boards!

If not for the fact that Andersen has more baggage than does the SW Airline baggage claim at PDX at Christmas time...yes.  Reality being what it is, the risks of having the Birdman in the lockerroom far outweight the rewards he'd provide in uniform.   For all of his obvious defensive abilities, Andersen just doesn't fit the culture here in Portland.  Just my opinion.

since you mentioned free agent´s... i would say that there arent much that could be a upgrade do the team.

Maybe we could give a 10 day contract, to see if there are really anyone worth the chance...

Maybe, Jordan Farmar, as a backup PG/SG and Hassan Whiteside(7´0) backup Center, last night he showed good skils on the D- League Showcase, in 20 min, he made 19p(8-11), 17rb and 5 blk.

I have been talking about Whiteside for a while now .....i think he would be a great low risk high reward

I actually dont think Chris Anderson would be that bad of a idea....i mean he might bring a toughness that we dont really have. Nice to have a guy come in to rebound and block shots....

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

Bosh in Toronto was better than Lamarcus

I would take Lamarcus over Bosh right now

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
