I understand that this isn't really the Blazers, but in a way it is. It's literally like the triple A league in the MLB, with some minor adjustments.

I really just felt like we should made a board about this, since we seem to already be using it often and plan to use much more. I'm not gonna lie too, since I really didn't know much about it, I've watched it the few games we had some of our players down there between soem free time I've gotten.

I'll say I really like the system and think it's great to get these guys some minutes and get their confidence going. Our guys have played really great down their which is showing they can obviously contribute off of the bench at the right time.

Another thing, Coby Karl & Justin Holliday are on the team and have been doin pretty nasty. Any idea if we have player's right to these guys since they're under our squad? Or is it kind of like fair game unless we have given them a contract to be among our 15 Trail Blazer roster.

Anyways, just thought this would be a good board to get us all a little in tune with the under-the-radar Blazers who do mean a lot to this team. And revisit among the many times I'm sure we will use this, the timing, the reasoning, the progress, etc.

The D league is a great place to get in game shape if you're not getting minutes and also jump start your scoring touch which Joel needs. He's only going to the D league for a couple of games.

Joel Freeland looked great, Claver played great D but cant get his shot going. Justin Holiday and Darrel Summers looked nice. The games are entertaining but the competition is pretty bad.

Feel like I can go out there heeehee

I know right? lol some of em seem like they're new to the game. Then again most of them are much bigger than me. But yeah Claver's shot isn't hitting great, which is weird because I've heard he rings the bell in practice all the time for hitting 20 3's out of 25 or something like that. think he's just been busy with so many other aspects of the game that's kinda laggin but it should pick up.

And so do we have rights to those players (Holliday, Summer, Karl) Siccolo? I don't know that aspect of the D-League at all

Joel had 41 pts and 21 boards in two games..that's not a bad jump start. Victor had a great 1st game but didn't really get it going 2nd game. Watched a little of that one today. Joel hustled for rebounds and Victor did too. The D league is pretty small for the most part and full of guys who shoot everytime they have the ball..not a lot of assists. I'll say that it's the most people I've seen in the stands in a D league so far. Gook they have a fanbase.

I have been researching and found this
"Coby Karl, Justin Holiday and Dallas Lauderdale were cut by the Blazers on Saturday, and were protected for D-League assignment by the Blazers."

So no NBA team can sign these guys except for the Blazers I assume. Cant find any solid info, wish Summers was protected rather than Lauderdale.

Freeland is putting in major work over there. Weird he had back to back nice games and never saw play after that. Hopefully that changes soon, like Stotts for not being scared of these guys. If they are playing bad he put them on the bench in a heartbeat. No matter if your JJ/Damian or even Nolan/Luke.

I don''t mind rosters, they are good. Shows that our fans aren''t stupid. But try to have some consistency. You change them too much.

Otto Porter, the next Kevin Durant? No. But Unholy, I feel like we would not be that much better in the paint. Blair is much shorter than JJ.

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
