Why isn't Ronnie Price playing off the bench?

Ronnie is tied with Leonard for the only guys to produce 12 pts off the bench. I don't understand him not getting some time behind Lillard in favor of Nolan. What's the logic? I wonder if Ronnie, Sasha and another bench player are part of an upcoming deal? Varejao stated today that he wants out of Cleveland and he leads the league in rebounding right now and scores. Wonder what Olshey has cooking? Problem with Varejao is he's 33 although he's playing the best ball of his career this season.

There's only a few things I can think of that would make the most sense, cause I don't believe this is a decision that is going unnoted(no minutes in the past week), and also notice Babbit & Barton are getting a good amount of time on the court as well. I think that's a direct result of Neil Olshey.

    1. Neil wants Stotts to get them more time to show them off to other teams for possible trade offers. And although I love him and don't want him to go, I think Barton goes into that discussion as well. Not trying to get into a whole lot of trade "what-ifs" but it's a possibility that other teams have some interest in our youth.

    2. Neil & the president are trying to take advantage of the Stampede, the first year venture for the Blazer franchise, and want to get a good look at the young guys before the next couple of weeks and see who clicks with the current team or who could use some more playing time at the D-League.

I still don't see why he hasn't logged any minutes at all in the last 5 games.. I think he's showed he's a viable back-up PG (better than Nolan) and we hopefully should be seeing him assume that role in the next week(s) or so.

I think it has more to do with his jacked ankle.  I think the good that comes from this is that we deal with the reality that Nolan Smith is not a servicable back up PG.

Lol, no. Dwight Howard would be the absolute worst thing to ever happen to Portland, and no doubt my fellow message boarders will let you know why.
