Trail Blazers (7-10) At Bobcats (7-8)

    What To Watch For

    Score 100+ Points
Over the course of their 17 games this season, the Trail Blazers have hit the century mark eight times, winning six of those contests. While the Bobcats on average allow 100.47 points per game, they've only given up 100+ in seven of their 15 games. But when Charlotte does allow over 100 points, they have won only once in those seven games. Bottom line: score over 100 and Portland picks up their second straight road win. Look for Lillard to set the tone early by setting up his teammates. I've noticed his best games come when he looks to pass-first, score second, mainly in the first-half. Once the rest of the team is in a rhythm, Dame then looks to weaknesses in the defense to attack, similar to how he performed down the stretch in Cleveland.

    Focus, Energy, Effort

There's no denying the Trail Blazers have the better team on paper. But as we all know, game's are played on the hardwood for a reason. This game scares me for two reasons. One, this is the sixth game of seven on the road and the team just completed a double overtime contest which certainly taxed them both mentally and physically two nights ago. Have they recovered from the marathon in Cleveland? We'll know early on if the Blazers are ready for a full 48 minute battle if they are active on defense, executing on offense and hustling at every given opportunity. The second reason this one worries me is the opponent. In the NBA, there's a tendency to overlook opponents and play down to their level. Yes, Charlotte has a better record than Portland, but this is still primarily the same cast of characters who set the NBA record for worst winning percentage last season. And Portland has already looked sub-par on this road trip against inferior opponents (Washington, Detroit), so this could be another trap. Hopefully the Trail Blazers erase all of my concerns and jump out to an early lead.

Rich Cho knows all our tricks! Blazers are gonna have to throw some wrinkles in the playbook to beat the improved Bobcats.

Bobcats are better than the Pistons, Wizards and Cavs so this is no easy win tonight. We're going to have to play a pretty flawless game to beat them on the road which means making a high percentage of shots and freethrows, getting them in the penalty and no sub 20pt quarters. Go Team! All of this is doable if we carry the momentum into Charlotte. They have a really underrated coach.

We also have to guard the perimeter. Alonzo Gee had a career high against us and Casspi also was knockin threes down. I dont know how many they had but It was too many 3s. Ben Gordon is the one to watch out for this game

First time was for no reaason

Second time I cursed intentionally out of frustration.  What got me angry is that someone else cursed and didnt get banned!!???!??

Um...shut this one off when we were down 18 with 5 min to go.  I was so disgusted with our bench to start the fourth.  How many times did they turn it over in that stretch?  I can't believe we've come from behind to tie the game after being down by fifteen or more in the fourth twice in 4 games.  ...and am I wrong or did Babbit just have his first meaningful moment as a Blazer.  These guys are giving me an ulcer.  I will take the W!

LA emerged from his phone booth wearing his all-star cape.  Good to have him back!  Nice win...and something to build from moving forward.  NIce to see Luke the person have a little success, even if, as Mike and Mike pointed out, he has yet to learn how to chest bump.

WTF do you call Tim Duncan. The dude is arguably the best PF in NBA history, I guess I did not realize that all this time he was making first team all NBA ballots that he was not a superstar.

Wow some serious high hopes for JJ there.

@Cailin Isn''t a little ironic that the Heat are on pace to win a second straight NBA title despite being the worst rebounding team statistically in the NBA this season.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.

Want to talk about trade LA possibilities then maybe it is time to reexamine the Cavs as an option for LA. Can get pick #1 and some pieces or work out a three way trade with the Bucks and Cavs. If we could end up with Thompson, Gee and Sanders for...

Considering that is the only aggressive thing he has ever done in his life, it is not likely he will do anything. Maybe if he did I might respect him more. But its alright enjoy your higher ticket prices to pay this joker 11 million a year.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.
