I wonder if Stan Van Gundy, Mike Brown or Nate McMillan would take jobs as assistant coaches?

Sorry to all the Kaleb fans but all three of these guys are better defensive coordinators than he is and all three are unemployed. With Stotts offensive schemes and a great defensive coach like Thibs was with the Celtics under Doc...we would improve. It's not all on the players..we're a bottom of the barrel defensive team right now

Please! I knew bringing in Jay Triano would ruin us lol

But these guys would help i think

But our offense has not been good either. So Stotts needs to something about that.

No way would these guys take an assistant job. These are guys that could probably get a head coaching job easily in a lot of places.

A lot of former head coaches are assistants now..Maurice Cheeks is one. There are not many head coaching vacancies available and all 3 of the mentioned coaches above are defensive specialists. Nate was not a head coach on the Olympic team, nor was D'Antoni...Nate coached the defense. All 3 are better than what we've got on the bench now and would compliment Stotts and all 3 have made their millions already.

I'd take Van Gundy as a head coach. But keep Brown and McMillan away. Brown couldn't do anything without LeBron, and he effectively killed a super team. McMillan is a great basketball guy. Great coach. But he and this organization need to be done with each other.

I like Stotts as a head coach..it's the defensive coordinator I'd like to see an upgrade with. Look at our Olympic coaching staff and we had coach K as the head coach, D'Antoni as the offensive coach and Nate as the defensive coach. Pretty good results I'd say. We're still a bottom of the barrel defensive team trading too many buckets and great defensive teams have a great assistant coach to deal with those problems. Nate love Portland but lacked an offensively creative approach which Stotts seems to have. Teams are shying from SVG because he's irritating to the media...even ESPN withdrew an offer for him to be a commentator but he can coach defense. Just saying

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
