the calls at the end of the game were bogus!!!!! That wasn't a travel or a turnover on Damien!!!!! We should've won the game fair and square!

We didn't lose the game because of bad officiating.  We lost it because the Blazers played 6 minutes or so of basketball in the first half when they got the big lead and then six minutes in the forth quarter when they came back.

You would think with LA, Batum and all of the other veterans you never ever take the worst team in the NBA for granted, and play an entire game of Basketball.  Nope this one is not on the refs, it is all on the Blazers for not playing a full game.

We should have beat these guys buy 30 and instead we lose by two.

Agreed BlazerManiac I was hoping this wasn't going to be the case but, the Blazers simply played not to lose instead of playing to win there's no excuse to play that way against the Wizard blaming this game on the refs is an excuse I'm not saying the refs didn't made a mistake on that play but, the Blazers had plenty of chance to get the job done this loss is on them.

Agree. Players need only focus on that which they themselves can control...their own performance(s), not the whistles, the weather, etc. Go out and play Blazer ball, collectively and cohesively, as physically hard as you can while executing at the highest possible level. If our beloved Blazers do that, game in and game out, everything else will take care of itself. Problem is, this is the era of guaranteed, long term contracts, so one never really knows what to expect from any given player and/or team, on any given night which is why this league has taken a step back from it's peak in the 80's and early 90's. I've officiated and coached, primarily the latter, so I've been on both sides of this fence. Last night's game shouldn't have been close enough for a single whistle to have made a difference, and that is the bottom line. It's on the players.

Before the season started Stotts and Olshey mentioned that this team would win some games when the shots were falling but if the starting 5 weren't having flawless games, we would struggle with a rookie bench. I think they've proven that to be correct. My biggest complaint beyond bad calls by refs, which happens to losing teams every night, is our 66% free throw shooting. If our free throw shooting was better we'd have won half the games we've lost by my calculation. Time to call Mark Price and bring him in to work with the guys on this glaring weakness. I'm a fan of the NBA implementing a challenge rule that has the risk of losing a timeout if the call stands. I'm also a fan of what Mark Cuban has his office do after every game which is to compile a DVD of obvious bad calls and mail it to the review board. Refs are aware that Cuban does this and it's helped the Mavs get better calls knowing the poor officiating will be reviewed every game.

I think they'll get better Chloe but we're not going far into the post season so it won't be as long for us as playoff teams

The refs didnt miss free throws. And even if Dame did travel,he more than redeemed himself by first stealing a pass and then taking a charge from Nene'. Ring the bell Jared Jeffries.

No chance. The suits in the front office have effectively stacked the deck against stop-gap coach Stotts. This team is headed directly for the lottery.

I do think that barring injury we'll have a better 2nd half of the year than the 1st half so we could sneak into the 8th seed with some luck and some success with the rookies after the allstar break. It won't matter much because we're not built for playoff success as is. It's a year of growth.

No reason to even try and make playoffs, yes its nice to be alittle competitive and you wanna be able to beat the detroits and washingtons of the world but I think the Idea is get another lottery pick, pray he's even close to as good a lillard, and sign some players in the offseason, especially at veteran,Our starting lineup is Dynamic, make sure we resign hickson too. I don't know if you boys ever notice this or not but Portland is a place where it seems like some Brothers just don't wanna play. So we gotta reward the ones that do play such as Lamarcus and Hickson.I was joking around in Chat about it the other day but the blazers should think about getting Travis Outlaw or martell webster back,I mean why the hell not! Its not like they would cost the Blazers anything, and they sure as hell played better for Us then any other team they've been on,I mean Martell was a #3 pick and travis outlaw could Gun off then bench and was 6'10 and could block shots, run down court when he was on our team he seemed like a baller,we should get him back from sacramento,he sucks there and lets be Honest we have probably the worst bench in the whole league

I agree about the bench. But Martell and Travis are nostalgic at best. I also agree about some brothas not wanting to play here. But those cats that dont want to play here are what you adressed us as... boys. We need four year collegiates to play in the Liquid Sunshine State. Men who are secure in their manhood, who know and approach this game as 1. being fun, and 2. being a business. Only that kind of maturity will produce results. Martell and Outlaw were both out of High School. Children when they got here. Lillard and Roy looked a lot different with four years of college under their belt.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
