Trail Blazers (3-5) Vs Rockets (4-4)

    What To Watch For

    Stop The Beard!
With the game hanging in the balance and time winding down, Houston turned to the hottest layer in the league, James Harden for the game-winning down down in Texas. But it wasn't meant to be as Wesley Matthews cleanly swiped away the ball and the Rockets' hopes along with it to force the game into overtime. On that night, Harden was held in check, only shooting 8-24 from the field. He still found a way to get to the line 10 times, but that's to be expected. If Portland can continue their defensive brilliance on the Beard, they'll be able to go up 2-0 in the season series.

    Fast Start
Outside of a season-opening win at home over the Lakers, there has been little Rose Garden Magic for the Trail Blazers who are just 1-3 in front of the Rip City faithful this season, including three straight losses on a recent home-stand. The crowd has been itching to get rowdy and cheer their team on, but the starts have been slow. If the Blazers to jump out quickly, getting the crowd behind them as they go, it could snowball into a comfortable win.

Work hard, wear them down. Take confident shots. Blazers did that to the Kings, repeat process against Houston!

I would like to see Meyers Leonard have a career night against Asik in this game. Defense will win this game as well. Come out swinging in the first half and build another blowout

I think we're a ad match up for them.  They are going to come out wanting revenge.  I think we get this one and manage to stay just ahad of them all game.  Blazers 107 -Rockets 100.

I like how Stotts is putting Batum on point guards... If Mathews can slow down Harden I would like to see Batum defend Lin some if he starts getting into paint.....

What an awesome game!!! When you have your all star score 29 points, and the media attention is on the other players you know your team had a huge night! What more can be said about our rook??? He took challenges and never lost his poise. A game like this makes ya proud to be a fan and see this team start to grow together! ;-)

    peace out,

I'd say tonight's game shut up some Batum critics! Well coached, lot of heart, gutsy win. A bench player almost had a double double...Batum, Aldridge, Mathews and Lillard are all allstars in my book. I'm proud to be a Blazer fan and looking forward to a great season of basketball! Batum was masterful in bringing this game back into a win. LaMarcus and Lillard were clutch when it counted. Wesley was a defensive force when it counted...Nico looked like a superstar in the 2nd half. This team is built for success as it grows comfortable with it's direction. Man what a great comeback!

Do we have a new Big 3 with Lillard, Aldridge, and Batum? Nic went off like LeBron in the 3rd and Dame carried us home in the 4th! Huge win and even better that our young guys really played fantastic.

Blazers are awesome, but lets not get crazy boys, they won a game they are supposed to win, against a lesser team at home, they were trailing all game, and came back. Our Starting 5 is awesome,Batum, aldridge and Lillard are all all-star caliber players, and matthews is a solid #2 with great defensive skillz. But this year the blazers aren't trying to make playoffs, they need a stronger bench and paul allen has already said that next year when they get under the cap, they'll sign some more dudes and compete for the playoffs. Either way we are rebuilding. We are basically in the same posistion we were in  2007-2008 season. And next year should be our 200-2009 season.Hopefully these stars like Lillard and Batum stay healthy and strong cause thats our new big 3 lillard, batum and aldridge vs Roy,Oden and Aldridge. Who knew back in 2008 when we drafted him Batum would actually be Better The Brandon roy, thats just as much a testimant to Batum as it is to how far Roy fell off

Going crazy can be great fun sometimes! Sure was last night. I take games one at a time and this was an epic comeback. I see every game as a process of growth this season no matter how we define it..new coach, new roster, new system. Our starters are going to make players want to be here. Hopefully our fan base will continue to do the same. As Henry Miller wrote, life is a choice, you can look at the rubbish in the gutter or the flowers on the hill side. It's great to see a team that respects its coach, actually has comraderie and seems to enjoy playing the sport and living in the community. Batum is looking like a hall of famer this season

Not sure the Blazers are "supposed to" win anything according to the national media. So let's be happy about wins. Frankly, they're coming more frequently than I expected, which is a good reason to get excited.

Damian. Lillard. Probably just shut down the Dion Waiters ROY talk with that one. His stepback, off-balance jumper against Lin was the only time I've thought a player looked identical to Brandon Roy. Love it.

I just figured a game at home, against a lesser team,Its a game that should be a W. 4-5 Isn't that great a record, but as far as I can see the only game they lost that they "should've" won would be Atlanta. The hawks are decent, but they almost knocked off the spurs,so they shoulda taken care of buisness at home against atlanta. But Lillard, well he's the man,he's having a even better rookie year then Roy did back in the day

Great game and win ! Awesome Lillard play when I realize that this was his 9 game in nba ... oh ! Love it, it is really big 3 with Lillard, Aldridge, and Batum like DHawes22 write , when bench players start to score more points it will be way to win more

    GO BLAZERS !!!

good game. finally a win at home again. great game by batum and lillard. if lillard keeps on playing like that, he will be the rookie of the year. Let us hope that batum wants to stay in portland for some more seasons. the two of them beside aldridge is a great basis to build on.

    LET`S GO BLAZERS!!

While Batum and Lillard had good games, I was also impressed by Leonard. I wish Stotts would have left him in the last 2 minutes of regulation, and the whole OT, as we could have won in regulation with rebounding.
