    Kings : get N Batum, J Freeland, V Clavor 2rd pick, L Babbit

    Blazers : get T Evans, J Thompson, J Johnson

    1. D. Lillard/Price/Smith
    2. T Evans/Matthews/Barton
    3. J. Johnson/Palovic/Morrison
    4. LA/JJ Hickosn
    5. J. Thompson/M Leonard/J Jeffries

    1. A Brooks/Thomas/Jimmer
    2. M Thorton/ Salmons/Garcia
    3. N Batum/Honeycutt/Outlaw
    4. T Robinson/Hayes/babbit
    5. Cousins/Freeland

    get a younger scorer in reke , take some scoring off LA and lillard.
    get a Defensive player in johnson can score too !
    get a Tough big , then jj can come off the bench and help the second unit.

    Not enough comes back to Portland on that one. Freeland has the same potential and physical presence that Thompson would give us. Evans, playing off the ball, is about the same offensive weapon as Nic, except he can't shoot from 3. Now include the fact that you essentially would trade away 4 shooters and a pick, getting back only one offensive player? I don't think I'd go with this trade.

    I might go with this one.

    Kings get Babbitt, Smith

    Blazers get Fredette, Honeycutt

    In fredette, you get Babbitt's range and similar 3pt % along with a better combo guard than Nolan with a better handle, better pentration, and just a little more swag.

    Honeycutt's a blue-collar player, and he could be useful for a few backup SF minutes or if (knock on wood) there's an injury.

    NOPE...don't like a King's trade at all! Don't want Batum playing anywhere else either! Would trade Smith and Babbit for Kevin Martin to get a scorer but that's about it.

    Well, I do understand the idea of trading with the Kings, since both teams are trying to get pieces for the future. They would be more willing to pull the trigger on a deal, and they would be more likely to want some of the young, unproven guys we have. But I don't think they have great pieces to give us.

    Yeah I like the idea getting Evans but I would like to keep Batum just because hes a boss heheh

    Tyreke and Demar Derozan are both free agents this summer.....im pretty sure and there is about a 40% chance they resign-probably less.

    There might not even be a need to get a starting SG. 

    Freeland should have a lot of value on this team and hopefully doesnt get traded for something less in equal.

    I don't think Reke and Dame could coexist well on a team. Reke needs the ball in his hands, and Damian runs the offense too well to play without the ball very often. I think it's better to think about adding pieces that will complement our roster, not just get a bunch of popular scorers.

    This is the year of the new collective bargaining agreement. I think we're ahead of the curve with a young roster that will play minutes. It's inevitable that teams can't pay max contracts to all of their starters anymore. In a year or two the Lakers and Heat are going to bleed money. The Harden trade made sense to me. He'll be a first option with maybe the only max deal he'll ever be offered again on a team with a speed dial to the Chinese market, which is huge! OKC signed Ibaka and knew they had a cap on what they could offer Harden. They got great draft picks and Lamb plus Kevin Martin who shoots like Stephen Curry and has an expiiring contract. I think the trade was a wash and Houston has their franchise player after swinging for the fences all summer. I wouldn't pay Harden what they are to have him here and lose developing talent. We're going to see a lot of teams that will shore up their rosters as we have. Rookie contracts and vet minimums with a few big paychecks for a core.

    Tyreke would be a great 6th man for this team but since we cant deal Batum for a while and no one will want his bloated contract that wont happen.

    Great trade if you can get it.I don't think Sacramento would give up so much for Batum. Thompson is a solid big man(better than Freeland),Johnson is a big athletic forward.Evans could push allstar status in the right system.
    I am a fan of Batum taking fewer three's and dicovering the mid range!
