With only two pre-season games left, I would have thought that the coaching staff would want to see how the starters would finish a game with the opportunity to win?  Letting the second unit/bench finish the game was a mistake in my book. To me the Warriors have been playing the pre-season the correct way...by getting your starting unit comfortable with each other so by game ONE you are ready!

I know alot of you will argue the game is meaningless...and I disagree. With the game on the line and that situation, I want the players in there that are going to be finishing for us.

I think they just wanted to give that type of experience to the people that haven't yet had the opportunity to play in a scenario like that. Most of our starters have been in many many close knit games like this one. The only mistake they made, in my opinion, was not letting Lillard play it out with the second unit. He's the only one of the 5 starters that hasn't had that type of experience in the NBA and it could benefit him (and the team) a lot.

I'd love to see DLill take over a close game such as this one when the clock is winding down.

I think Stotts let this one get away by addition by subtraction. He's got to cut somebody and in crunch time a couple of new guys came to play and a couple really didn't. Not naming names but I think the game last night answered some questions about who to waive before the Oct 31 deadline and save salary cap room. I still would have like to see the starters for 6 minutes in the 4th just to give the homecrowd a win but understand that Stotts had other things to decide and time's running out to cut guys.

We need to solidify back up rotation... and what I thought to be one of our deepest slots the back up point guard with Price and Smith now seems iffy with Smith looking all hurky juryky and Price on the shelf.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Jarret Jack sitting there like the Warriors do when there top guy goes down.

We might need to add a vet point guard in a trade or sumptin and no disrespect to C Karl either

We were down by 6 when the starters left the game. The bench almost brought us back in the game. I thought it was the right move by Coach. The wins and losses do not count, let the young guys get the experience.

It's PreSeason. That means you can do whatever you want, throw out whichever lineup you want. The games don't count, so why not trying out a few things? Also, the starters played around 30 minutes a piece. No need to wear them out for a game that doesn't help or hurt us. I envision our starters playing a ton of minutes this season, so the more rest we can give them in the pre-season, the better. Aldridge knows how to finish close games. Batum's been there before. As has Matthews. They'll be ready to go for the season. That situation Friday night was nothing they haven't been through before.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
