I know it's still preseason, but i feel like the bench has not been given playing time, and i feel like a bench spark plug is missing. I really hope these aren't the minutes Stotts will dish out during the regular season, because the starters can't carry that much of the load. I know it's wayyyy to early for trade speculation, but this bench needs a spark. One idea I have

    Blazers get:Tyreke Evans, Evan Turner
Kings get: Thaddeus Young, Luke Babbitt, Elliot Williams
Sixers get: Wesley Matthews, James Johnson, Francisco Garcia

helps all teams in areas of need and could supply the Blazers with a spark off the bench. I dont know if its just a preseason thing, but these bench players aren't getting a lot of time nor being very productive. Go Blazers

Evan Turner will be talked into staying by Bynum. Tyreke will not be offered an extension by Sacramento, who might end up being the new Sonics. He does look like he would fit nicely alongside Lillard, but we give up defense in Wesley to get him. Elliot will probably not have any suitors since he's slowly morphing into Greg Oden. Thaddeus is the only appealing name in this whole scenario. Defense wins championships. The last thing we need is another bi-polar, { Tyreke } His potential and mental psyche are eeerily similar to Darius Miles'. And we all remember how we got bamboozled in that regard. Klay Thompson, abso-frickin-lutely. I'll throw in Jay Triano for that trade. Calderon, yup, all day to back up Lillard. And wheres my guy Dee Bost from the summerleague ? We  are going to have to be extremely lucky this year in order to kick up some dust. What we're missing is the guy who goes for the jugular every single game. Currently, he does not reside on our Blazers roster. Lillard ... perhaps. But he still needs Robin. LaMarcus is AquaMan.

The first half of the preseason Stotts has stated that he wants multiple looks at the bench in multiple positions. We are not playing the rotations we will see in the regular season. Last two games we have really missed either Ronnie Price or JJ Hickson with injury. I'm less worried about the bench spark than I am the starters spark so far. Seems we're not switching on defense, crashing the boards or passing the ball very well the last two games. Wesley Mathews so far has disappointed me. We'll know by the trade deadline if players need to be moved but preseason is finding out who will be in the rotation. Freeland has disappointed me. Nolan Smith has disappointed me. Luke Babbit has always disappointed me. I think after 3 preseason games, Kaleb Canales has disappointed me because our defense is lacking across the board. It's a work in progress but we'll know more at the end of the month

Can anyone say "REBUILDING". I think that is what this season is all about, most fans deny this and say the team is "PERFECT". I am a realist and I don't mind rebuilding as long as it is honest, the team should know so they play harder, knowing their spots on the roster are on the line. I see a lot of smoke being blown around and up wazoos, undeserved back patting for a coach that has proved nothing, and until a year or so has gone by, no one will know if the roster moves including management and coaching are the right choice or changes need to be made. I am optimistic that the team will come together but I don't see a playoff seeding above 7th for the Blazers this year. My prediction for the year is 11th in the west and a high lottery pick which might end up going to Charlotte anyway.
From what you say, I can see that you see the need for retooling if not rebuilding.
The offense is not efficient enough and the defense is lack luster at best, I know it is preseason but I expect more defense and I think Batum is going to be the same player we had last year for what? <3million and now 10million+....... Huge mistake for what we could have received in trade including future consideration draft pick(s) for Martel Webster.

I still think Nic is an important piece for our team. Wesley finally showed up big yesterday and we've had a lot of bench confusion. All the starters on this team are more productive in the 2nd half of games and they've been on the bench in the second half for the most part. JJ Hickson is recovering as is Ronnie Price so I think Stotts is using the preseason to gauge who stays now. Barton hasn't played much yet either. I'm happy with Sasha, Coby and Clavers improvement. Not sold on Morrison or Babbit and still not convinced Nolan is a great player.

although I do think that eraser head haircut is a little rediculous and outdated but none the less kid could either be huge or a complete bust and at this point if we had that number 1 pick I wouldn''t pass on him then I''d go out and get someone ...

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

As long as he stops pulling the ball down in the post I will be happy nothing more annoying than watching that happen several times a game
