I cant think of a better squad to start our pre-season against. Our favorite nemesis, the Los Anegeles Lakers. Anyone who thinks that this is going to be just a game is kidding themselves.Make no mistake about it, they've brought in some guns. We keep talking about their big name additions, they've also brought in a few vets. Duhon most notably was a good pick up for them. As was Jamison. I think where we are strong is in our youth, which also happens to be our weakness. Im more interested in seeing how we will compete. I also want to gage Lillards speed and poise against the big boys. I personally think that we'll have the advantage tonight on the inside with Howard not playing. Even though i like the idea of JJ pestering him as he did when he played for Cleveland. One of the advantages of the Blazers using JJ at the pivot is that he too can run the floor. Speaking of which, i'll be watching their stamina to see if Stotts' conditioning methods were a pro or con. If we can outrun you, chances are, we'll outplay you. I still think that until we have that one guy, who is a triple double threat guy,we'll always have to hope that guys knock down their shots and play tough D.Which should happen anyway. I just like the idea of an everything guy. Getting boards, dishin dimes, and still getting his. Nicholas could be that guy if he applies himself this season. Im excited just the same to get our first piece of action in a couple of hours. Go Rip City !
I am a fan of our new roster playing with and for eachother.

When you're the new kid in school and the bullies shove you around, it's time to make a statement. I'm glad we're playing a tough schedule early. We have the advantage of surprise on our side and a coach who looks like he'll keep fresh legs on the court. Go Blazers!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT can't wait for tonight! I'm tryin to figure out where to watch the game; at home with my dogs, at a friend's house during a poker game (I know, not many things could make me multi-task during a blazer game but I'm a card player and that's one of em), or out at a Blazer-friendly bar... does anyone know if Blitz is doing game nights for Blazers this year?

As for the team, yeah we shouldn't be expecting wins (especially early in the season) and should be focused more on how they play (which I'm definitely amped for), but I think there's still legitimate reason to hope for a great season. And honestly, if it doesn't start well, then no one is shocked because we have a new and young unproven roster, and it could make the rest of the season more entertaining (as opposed to another great start followed by an underperforming season like last year).

I definitely think Nico could be that guy, Common. I think he's gonna surprise people :)

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

P.S. Would anybody happen to have a...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Thank God they are 19 games over 500.  Mayb...

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
